Dividing the United States

I have never seen a President divide the Country more than

  • Bush (W)

  • Clinton

    Votes: 1 2.1%

  • Reagan

  • Carter

I didn't vote because a President is a political figure, and as such is more of a slave to division rather than creating it.

Right now, you've got factions trying to divide the Republican Party. Since 2000, either the Christian right or the TP have been trying to cleanse the party of "RINOs" to the point that when moderates were nominated (McCain and Romney), they had to backtrack against their own records so hard you couldn't pin them down. Without this, Obama doesn't get elected, or at least not re-elected. All he's had to do is sit back and watch.

Nice deflection but that is what is expected of libs which they always do.....although I am far from being a typical Con. Which always puts any Progressives at a severe disadvantage in ALL things.

Simply a compact aroma . If you can't go back with your ecumenical path, your opinion can't be addressed. You as a right wing fashionista should know that.

I don't think the President's divided us. I think we divided us.

Yeah, I agree, any divide a president causes is generally just a symptom of the divide that already exists. I'd blame the press and the media in general for this one. The media serves the function of those yahoos who stand outside the circle and yell, "fight, fight!". It makes news, it makes money.

Personally, I think a president should rise above the division, rather than cheering it on, and adding his two cents to it.

Yeah, most Progressives even know the BS they cook with. Although the only reason you can't address the opinion is due to that failing issue ALL Progressives have. Which is that Problem you All have when trying to think for others and attempting to Paint people out. Well that is Until you run across one such as myself. Who will surely Put any Progressives in their Place. With no difficulties whatsoever.

How you are able to discern any sort of coherent statement from my post is actually impressive.

Well I kept thinking about how you deflect so much that I didn't want to make things to difficult for you. So keeping it simple tends to work for Progressives. This way they have to think for themselves.....but only themselves. ;)

Actually every President that has been elected during my lifetime has been "divisive"...or in other words the party he didn't belong to didn't like him.

Yes, "dividing the country" means "doesn't do everything the way I personally want it done"

I voted Reagan because Reagan continues to be divisive from beyond the grave, and because his followers have actually managed to divide themselves from reality. Like, "fix the debt, like Reagan would have done" levels of fantasy.

I think W was the worst divider.

nobody on the left liked his policy, and he single handily destroyed the GOP (ok, that is pretty far fetched, Dick Cheney carried the divisive water for him too)

He did have it for 3 years in a row.....Gallup says Obama now holds the record though.
