I was raised by hippie's in the burbs. My mother became more conservative later in life but was still a social liberal. My father is a union man so he voted the way the union told him to vote. Somethings never change. Today my father is married to a communist. I visited them for 2 weeks last October. We discussed politics some. For many years they have known I am conservative and that I believe in limited government, capitalism, and individual liberty and the pursuit of happiness. They both believe in nanny state policies. They think the government should take care of us from cradle to grave and they dislike those who work hard and achieve great wealth and success. They also support King Obama, the ACA, spreading the wealth to bums who are to lazy and stoned to earn their own wealth. They are pro death, and they are christian. This I do not understand. I love them both even if they are as wrong as can possibly be.
