To celebrate Earth Hour......

Tonight from 8:30 to 9:30 wherever you are on Earth, turn off all devices that use electricity. Because..... if we all do that... the Earth will be saved!

Anyone celebrating?

No, but I'll be watching to see if you do...

Umm...that would be a "no" for me. But I do hate to miss a good celebration.

What, the OT forum wasn't enough for this?

Very well, I'll play. Like I said there...no.

It's a poll here. Don't get snarky.

Nope. In fact, I'll turn on even more lights.

It's the first I've heard of it, but I'll play, and my buddy Peepers Andrun will be checking up on you.

There will likely be more energy used in turning all of those lights/devices back on than there would have been had they been run for that hour.

See, this is why I object to and do not celebrate any holidays. It leads to this crap!

I guess I'm only doing it accidentally. That's about 3 am here in Germany, so I'll be asleep. Otherwise I'd be blaring my bass and watching my big ass TV.

Holy ****ing dishonest spin! Why can't conservatives ever be honest?

No I think things like this are stupid.
The people who do it are already aware of the awareness they're trying to spread.

Frankly, I don't give a crap.

It's the same reasoning behind why I'd sucker-punch any PETA member I met.

Am I still observing earth hour if I build a bond fire in the yard and drink beer, since all the TV is off and there's nothing better to do?

I piled a bunch of bags of composted cow poo in my garden. My earth hour celebration is done.

I don't want to be charged with assault, but at least someone is trying to make a difference.
Actions speak louder than words, go Gipper!

I know how to whip someone's ass and never leave a mark.

Seriously, officer, I don't know what they're talking about.

I'm honestly NOT turning off my electricity in the name of "saving the planet". Are you?
