The media covered what ObamaCare (Affordable Health Care Act) was summarily said to be going to do - with us remembering the actual bill was not available to read before voting on it.

So the media presented ObamaCare as Obama told it was:

1. No new taxes
2. Would provide affordable coverage with no discrimination against pre-existing conditions
3. Would reduce insurance coverage prices.
4. Everyone will have health insurance.

Thousands and thousands of hours on the media lamenting people with pre-existing conditions unable to get health insurance - and how wonderful assuring coverage for such people would be!!!

But as the realities unfold, the media has gone silent on the actually realities of what ObamaCare does - and doesn't - do.

1. Never so much as mentioned, ObamaCare adds a 3.8% on the sale of any asset over $200,000.00 such as a home. Since homes factor GREATLY into people's retirement - this a far greater TAX hit on people's assets than the 10% tax on bank account assets proposed in Cyprus.

2. Pre-existing coverage has been cancelled. That part of ObamaCare - its BIGGEST SELLING POINT - has been shutdown by the Obama Administration because after only 130,000 people it is financially broke.

3. Health Insurance premiums are skyrocketing.

4. 10s of millions will NOT be covered under ObamaCare AND many, many employers have made it clear they will either shift more employees to part-time employment (the main source of the boasted of "new jobs created") or will just pay the fine and opt out of insuring employees for how expensive ObamaCare insurance will be.

Media told us the myths and promises incessantly - but now puts a veil of silence over the actual true realities.

And of this - the media is essentially silent. It media silence for the purpose of covering up the true realities of ObamaCare?

Mandating the private sector with providing universal health care was moronic. The only way to have efficient universal health care is through a single payer system. But the likelyhood of that ever happening in the US is slim.

Obama care doesn't fully kick in until January of next year. If it is a bad as what you are saying, that give 10 months for the electorate to get peeved at it. Thus being a big election issue and perhaps another 2010 happens. Time will tell. Myself, I don't know whether it is good or bad. In fact it may be better than sex and peanut butter. But the way it was passed, it made Pelosi and Reid look like tyrants and they paid the price in November of 2010.

I can see the possibilities of a media coverup

However I'm not sure the media is intelligent enough

or driven enough to have looked for these things

that most of us 'great unwashed" saw going in!!:(

Not cancelled, not taking new patients in the pool until finances get ironed out.

When I fact check just the first two claims you make and they turn out to be flat out lies, I think we can just dismiss your whole bunch of nonsense. Add in that Obamacare is heavily covered and much of that coverage is of problems with the program, and you have a complete failure of a premise. Hint for the future: avoid easily uncovered lies and your presentation won't fail so badly.

Your "proof" isn't proof at all. Reading YOUR source, it confirms there is a 3.8% tax for home asset value at sale at certain values.
FACT: It is a 3.8% tax - so Obama declaring there was no tax WAS A LIE. Any you are lying claiming my statement is false. Obama said there is no new tax with ObamaCare - that was a lie and it a lie for you to deny it - or accuse me of posting a lie.

And your source claiming people are not being denied coverage for pre-existing conditions, they are just being denied coverage for pre-existing conditions until Obama works it out is absurd backward logic - no different than saying "people aren't starving to death, they are just starving to death until someone finds them food."
FACT: The Obama Administration is now denying coverage to 100% of people applying for coverage for a pre-existing condition.
Or are you claiming Obama is going to raise them from the dead?
IN FACT: 100% of people with pre-existing conditions are now being denied coverage.

It is FACT that millions of people will not be covered
IT IS FACT that it is cheaper for employers to pay the "fine" - and it costs nothing to employers who shift to part-time employees.

Can you show me where Obama said there was no new taxes in Obamacare. I notice you have tried hard to not document anything you have actually said, and I suspect there is good reason for it.

Well, no. States who opted into the program are not accepting new aplicants. Those ho had applied or lived in other states are either still covered or can be covered. Further, the program was inteded as a short term program, until Obamacare kicks in next year. High Risk Pools for Health Coverage, State and Federal (State Implementation Report)

You might want to find some actual facts. So far yours have failed to be factual.

It is FACT that millions of people will not be covered
IT IS FACT that it is cheaper for employers to pay the "fine" - and it costs nothing to employers who shift to part-time employees.

No one to my knowledge has claimed that there would be universal coverage. It is a fact that for some businesses it will be cheaper to pay a fine, but for the majority of businesses it will be better to provide insurance. For those people who might lose insurance through there employer, they have options through the state to get coverage.

So what we have is a bunch of nonfactual "facts" you claimed, with no sources, and which do not stand up to any level of scrutiny, and you are crying the media is not covering your made up bull****, despite massive coverage on Obamacare. Well done!

I don't know how you can say that they haven't been silent? The mandates on businesses (even small businesses!) are unknown to most people.

A HR Clinton/E Warren ticket in 2015 will improve the AHCA(affordable health care act), despite the efforts of our conservatives...
IMO, all we really have to do is model the German Health Care....its "follow the leader".
Also, using our VA as an ideal would be so much better....yes! I know that the VA is far from perfect....but neither is todays health care system..

Then they have not been following the news since it is widely reported. Of course the OP here was a bunch of made up ****, so it's no wonder the media was not following it.

The claim that this law is detrimental to "small businesses" just isn't true. The mandate applies only to businesses with 50 or more full-time employees. According to the Census Bureau, there are more than 27.2 MILLION businesses operating in this country. Less than 655,000 have 50 or more employees period let alone full-time. In short, the mandate is only applicable to 2% of all businesses in the Untied States; none of which are small.

By efficient, you mean inferior?

Let me know if you'd rather get cancer in France or in the US.

In addition, The administration argued it is a tax before the Supreme Court, and the Supreme Court agreed and ruled it is.

Major fail. He specified under 1/4 million. The tax you are complaining about is on profits over 1/4 million. So once again we have you making **** up and complaining the media isn't covering what you made up.

Just writing the word FACT does not make your statements truthful. I just looked up one of your "FACTS" and found this....

The Affordable Care Act created the new Pre-Existing Condition Insurance Plan (PCIP) program to make health insurance available to Americans denied coverage by private insurance companies because of a pre-existing condition. Coverage for people living with such conditions as diabetes, asthma, cancer, and HIV/AIDS has often been priced out of the reach of most Americans who buy their own insurance, and this has resulted in a lack of coverage for millions. The temporary program covers a broad range of health benefits and is designed as a bridge for people with pre-existing conditions who cannot obtain health insurance coverage in today’s private insurance market. In 2014, all Americans – regardless of their health status – will have access to affordable coverage either through their employer or through new competitive marketplaces called Exchanges, and insurers will be prohibited from charging more or denying coverage to anyone based on the state of their health.

In FACT over 110,000 people that were denied coverage for pre-existing conditions now have insurance thanks to the AHC act. I won't even bother to find out what other lies you have told, it is wasted time.State by State Enrollment in the Pre-Existing Condition Insurance Plan | HealthCare.gov

Further, the program was a temporary one by design. Trying to suggest a failure when a temporary program ends is silly.

It is only temporary because it will no longer be needed. In 2014 no insurance company may deny coverage for pre-existing conditions.

Correct. The purpose of the program was to help provide coverage before Obamacare actually took effect. Jocko's failures in this thread are almost endless.

How many people work for those 2% of businesses?

Roughly 65% of the private sector workforce. Why? You do realize that expenses in the form of insurance premiums and HSA contributions are tax deductible for a business right? Besides, the vast majority of companies, big and small, already offer health insurance.

And of this - the media is essentially silent. It media silence for the purpose of covering up the true realities of ObamaCare?
So Obama owns the media too.
He must be wealthier than that poor Romney guy the Republicans had for a candidate
.

Deductible does not mean free. 65% of workers are going to be affected.
