Santa Monica welcome for Westboro church

I can't reply on the West Boro Church or the Peoples Republic of Santa Monica because both of these groups fall under being special protected groups and I would be violating DP Rule #20.

But I did have a run in with the West Boro Church some years ago, just the threat of violence sent them running down the street and it only took three of us, not hundreds.

Attention whores should not be given attention. The WBC are nothing more than the lowest form of ambulance chaser. They are running a provoke and sue scam. They rely on idiots to shine the spotlight on them, so that it makes it easier for them to provoke people.
 
I go to Kansas State University which is about 45 min away from Topeka KS where Westboro is located. They come to our campus quite often and everyone here is used to it and we all just ignore them, we give them no attention, nothing.
But i loved the video and i loved what those kids did. I liked how they just had their backs turned to them the whole time. Great video!

Yes, I agree ignoring is the best tact and your school being a neighbor is handling it correct and yet I loved the kids singing and standing together united and God=Love signs.
 
I have a cousin in Venice that went to SMHS. I'll bet she's proud!
 
Part of me likes the creative, passive, effective method of dealing with that "Christian" trash. Also, part of me agrees with James insofar that the quickest way to make something go away is to ignore it. You know what they say - no publicity is bad publicity.
 
The Westboro Baptist church isn't even a real church. Its just Fred Phelps and a few of his family members. In fact, I don't believe there is a member of the church that isn't part of his family.

Unfortunately, the following day the students were all suspended for holding signs advocating faith or belief in 'God'.
 
I appreciate what those folks did...truly.

we keep tabs on these hatefilled ****sticks in the Austin area ( we= Texas Patriot Guard Riders) ... I hate to hear about them popping up, but I love to meet them out there to negate their hate.
