You need to look at his position on the issues........You might be surprised.

I know his positions. I read Atlas Shrugged a long time ago. His positions can be found in that book.

Tea Party guy, yep, I think he should run. I think the Republicans lost this election because they were not conservative enough.

Keep thinking that. It'll insure that you'll lose all future elections. The ideology has been rejected, and demographics have changed to such an extent that unless Republicans fundamentally change their views, they'll continue to lose. You're in Indiana. You lost an election for the Senate that you should have won. Dick Lugar was ousted by a guy more conservative. Lugar would have been re-elected easy. That guy got his ass whipped because his conservative views were way out of the mainstream. He was certifiably nuts. Do you actually think that it was because he wasn't conservative enough??

President of what - the Hair Club for Men?

Possibly. It depends who else wanted the job.

Yep, some people would rather have absolutely anybody as long as they aren't for individual freedom and personal responsibility.

With me its almost anybody except for a libertarian whack job loved and adored by other libertarian whack jobs.

I am all for freedom and responsibility. I also come down on the side of motherhood, apple pie, patriotism and good sportsmanship. Its hard to oppose a harmless ;)cliche.

I'm sorry, it's hard to take you seriously when you say you're for both freedom and responsibility, yet would vote for just about anybody but someone whose entire political ideology is oriented towards both of those things.

Just come out and say it, you're pro-liberty and responsibility only as long as a politician allows you to be.

I'd vote the **** out of him. I really hope he runs. He's got the ideology of his father but better at PR.

You would vote for him and not even know his position on the issues...

I can promise you I know his positions better than you. If you think he's the guy to peddle the anti-liberty bull**** you support, you got the wrong guy, homie. It'd be hard to find a politician as gay-hating and intolerant as you, and that really says something.

You have no interest in small government, just a government that upholds christian law.

The only Republican that even has a shot in 2016 (if Hilary runs) is Chris Christie. There isn't a Republican out there, especially Rand Paul that would stand even a small chance.

Your words not mine???

And what about that statement makes you think I don't understand his positions? He's a clone of his father ideologically but can play politics quite a bit better.

I would tell you off and be really mean but I have not yet heard back from the people who give me permission to do so. ;)

Your masters are very busy people. Running the lives of 300 million people is not an easy task. But hey, if the politicians dont run their lives, who would?

Okay, I have permission to post to you cleared from up on high.

I am instructed to tell you that the ghost of Leon Trotsky will haunt you for your meanness.

I would not vote for Rand Paul for dog catcher, much less president.

I apologize, I cant hear you over my extremely radical ideology where I believe people should be free to make their own decisions in life.

as long as they own their own island nation with nobody else on it- I am marching with you my friend.

He would probably be the closest thing to a Libertarian running even though he is not even close to one. I would under the right circumstances. Depending on who is running on the Libertarian ticket.

No, but I would put out a Democratic response to Rubio and Paul, two of the repub carps after the SOTU.
This silliness didn't exist when the Constitution was written.
Multiple wings of the Repubs now require it.

His position on the issues is why I'll never vote for that dude.

Before the 2010 election Rand Paul said that if he had been in the U.S. Congress back when the 1964 Civil Rights Act was being debated he would have opposed parts of it.

Read about it: http://www.csmonitor.com/USA/Politics/The-Vote/2010/0520/Rand-Paul-Civil-Rights-Act-brouhaha-clouds-Senate-campaign

He later walked his statements back somewhat after they aroused controversy but that was his initial position.

What do you think about that?

I'll tell you what I think: Anyone who thinks like he thinks will never get my vote.

I'm not saying that the man is a racist, but his attitude would have let racists do what they want to do.

People who think like him are one of the main reasons why the GOP lost the recent election. The GOP is on the wrong (losing) side of every social issue. We will see how that works out for the GOP in the future.

What is SOTU?

Lets say it is Hillary.

Absolutely, I like a man that stands on his own two feet against the poltically correct idiots of the nation.

I really don't know what the hell you are talking about Rand Paul has many different views then his father especially about isolation......Oh and he got elected in a landslide in a state that is heavily black so so much for him being a racist....That is always the first one you lefties throw out there about people you don't like.........get some new material.

Personally I think rand Paul does not have the practical decision making required for govenor. I think Hilliary should not run in 2016 let Andrew cumuo have a chance, or maybe Brian Schweitzer if he considers running.
