Apparently apart from me every dem liked Kerry every Republican hates him.

When it comes to politics and religion people really can't think for themselves.

Though to be honest most people can't think period.

I guess that leaves only those with a grandiose opinion of themselves and their uniquely keen insights.

I like Obama on most of what he does. But this is one of those few times where he disappointed me. Your thoughts?

First I'd be much happier with Hillary Clinton staying. Shes popular around the world and an effective diplomat.

Kerry may not be awful but he's certainly not many people's top pick. Fells like an awfully conservative/safe play when better people can be found.

Even if the number of well know applicants to the position are lacking. I'd be happier to see a lesser known and capable/smart person with new ideas.

My thought is that Kerry is being groomed by the Democratic party for another run in 2016.

wishful thinking
about like projecting the GOP would consider running those losers, mccain and romney, again in the future

kerry as secretary of state; anyone see him being able to pull off a resolution between the Palestinians and israeli government? me neither

but granted, that is one of the most difficult diplomatic problems requiring resolution. so, what other, less entrenched problems of state can we expect kerry to resolve?

Doubt it. If so they Republicans will Just have to find some one worse.

I am not disappointed. He might have been the best choice of those available.

Although ... it will be a challenge to live up to Hillary.
