If you were to vote in an election in which each party had an equal chance of winning, rather than just automatically going to one of the two main parties, for whom would you cast your ballot and why? The listed parties are only those who received 100,000 or more votes in the last election.

I, personally, would vote for the Greens, for a variety of reasons, foremost being the environment, civil liberties, foreign policy, and equal rights; they, unlike the Democrats, have a strong stance on promoting green energy. Unlike the Republicans, they legitimately oppose government legislating personal behavior. Unlike either party, they oppose military interventionism, and unlike the Democrats, they are willing to end the squabble over gay marriage. They're the perfect mix of social libertarianism and economic liberalism.

Other - bachelor party. Better strippers than the Democratic parties.

I was thinking any party at the Playboy mansion, but that'll work if it is good. I 've been to some pretty lame Bachelor Parties.

Did it have strippers? If it didn't, it wasn't a bachelor party. It was just a bunch of guys hanging out that happens to be in the time proximity of one of them getting married.

Unless you're licking whipped cream off the tits of some 20 year old with either a large tuition debt or daddy issues, it doesn't count.

Green Party, or socialist party is my ideal party. I think the left just need to make a united coalition party.

My views are about halfway between the Republican and Libertarian parties, so it would depend on both the specific candidates and the specific office.

Republican, but only if it were under the tea party mindset.

none of them ,but greens seem sympathetic

My party is "The Logical Party" and we're still short 99,999 votes but we're moving up surely.

Honestly as much as it pains me probably the thoroughly revisionist CPUSA, would be my top party pick even if they are not the best party I could tbi k of in theory.

Not great. It I don't hear better voices....

I don't vote for parties - I vote for people. . . I will vote for whomever I see fit to do said job and fill said role based on their views, experience and political track record.

other, although the Green party would be a strong contender if they'd tone down the zeal a bit and get more realistic about their platform.

LOL @ Platforms . . . I think people rarely read party platforms because i they did they'd be shocked. Or maybe less shocked when the president supports something. . . like as if he was in support of Nuclear energy before or something.

Agreed, completely. I prefer the Green party platform with certain exceptions (they're anti-death penalty, I'm in favor), but in the last election, I prefered the Justice Party's Rocky Anderson, because he had more experience as a leader than Jill Stein. His presentation was also a lot stronger, though at times it was hard to distinguish between his and Stein's platforms.

Usually I vote Libertarian as they represent my views the best. On occasions I've voted Republican, and only once did I vote Democrat (when I was young and it was my first vote).

I was a libertarian through-and-through until I realized their party wants to abolish the federal minimum wage. If anything will lower our nation's standard of living, its removing the minimum wage. I'm totally okay with earning $7.25 an hour and not working in a sweatshop. Still, if it were between a viable Libertarian candidate and a Republican or Democrat, I'd vote LP simply because of their foreign policy and civil liberties, especially if I knew the GOP wouldn't control Congress.

I'm glad that libertarianism finally has a chance on a place like these forums, its not everyday you see alot of politicians (especially Rs and Ds) supporting us.

None of the above, my ideal party doesn't exist. I want an actual conservative party, one that holds traditional conservative values and ideals. There are no parties like that today.

IF I was to join a part it would have to be a fusion of the Reform Party (what thier policy is not what they actually do) the Green;s without the off the wall social agenda and the Old Constitutional Democratic Party (now defunct).

Constitution party. I disagree on about three ish major issues, but other than that they're great Then republican. After them libertarian.

Going from Republican to Libertarian is a pretty big jump.

Constitution and republican are close. But if there was no constitutional or Republican Party, it's better than the greenie liberals

LOL @ Platforms

Don't you be hatin on disco fashion, there, A.S.

It served some of us very well back in the day.

The Chaosian Party, but we only have two members at present... otherwise I'd be more prone to put the Constitution Party or Libertarians in power, though neither fully represents my views.

Actually there is no party that represents me ideally.
