Happy New Year, everyone! :)

What do you expect the new year to be in comparison with 2012? :)

What I put on Facebook.

I want to thank all the friends and family that helped me along the way.

But let's hope in general for a few things to come next year.

Let's hope for a Free Syria.

Let's hope for a peaceful Congo

A Peaceful Central African Republic

A peaceful Nigeria

A peaceful and United Somalia

A United and prosperous Burma/Myanmar

A North Korea that Frees itself from the yolk of harsh dictatorship

A United States of America that frees itself of the stupidity of partisan politics

For all these successes belong to all of us who call ourselves humanity.

Let us hope for a better life for all.

Nough Said.

I hope I can better approach the challenges life puts to one.

Happy New Year to everyone on DP. There are so many good people posting here, too many to mention on all sides of the Political aisle. I'm not sad to say goodbye to 2012, i've had better years that's for sure. I lost my Mum in May this year, she was only young and it's been a really difficult time. DP has been so good to me while i've been trying to come to terms with everything, it's been the one constant and somewhere i can go to just get away from everything for a while. You've made me laugh, a couple of you have made me cry with your personal experiences, you've made me want to rip my hair out, you've made me apprehensive, ecstatic, happy, you've run the gamut of my emotions and i keep coming back every day because you guys rock.

I'm going to try to be kinder to myself going forward. I spend so much time making sure everyone else is ok and focussing on their needs and not enough time on my own. I have to understand i just can't be everything to everyone anymore. It's not an expectation they place on me, more something i place on myself. I need to fix that.

Looking forward to 2013.

:peace

I have no expectation from the political stage and the world stage. I have only expectations from myself that I will be a better person and accomplish more than I have in this past year. I made list. 7 main objectives, 2 secondary objectives. And this time , I will keep this list in a place where I can see it often.

I'm always hopeful for a better year than the last. I expect to improve myself a little more each year. It doesn't necessarily happen, but I expect to. And I'm always "hopeful" that the world will sort itself out a little more.

Slowly but surely, everything is getting better with me. Slightly better!

My New Year's resolution is to not make any New Year's resolutions.

I lost my Mum in May this year, she was only young and it's been a really difficult time.
I, too, lost mine back in February, so 2012 sucked. Looking forward to 2013. Happy New Years to all!

I am more optimistic than I was last year!

I don't want to be Buzz Killington, so I'll just keep my expectations to myself.

it will be worse IMHO since we have a clown for a president who no longer has to worry about re-election.

I'm just going to go with it being "very frustrating."

It's going to be like any other year, idiots in the government not doing what they were elected to do. Will we be surprised?

i'm hoping for good things this year, and i'm cautiously optimistic. i might have to change jobs later this year, and i hate that. i try to keep reminding myself that i'm going to end up where i'm supposed to. on the bright side : every new year that finds me in good health is pretty much priceless.

My daughter doesn't crash the car as she learns how to drive.
Our campus visits don't result in my having a stroke
She does well on her ACT
And we can figure out where to go this year on vacation.

Happy New Year, everyone! :)

What do you expect the new year to be in comparison with 2012? :)
I put "much worse", as we've already had four years of "pretty much the same" moving into "slightly worse". The real question is, how much longer can the Left keep pinning this mounting disaster on the Right?

My expectation is that it will be pretty much the same or slightly worse. I do not expect a proper recovery in Europe as Europe hasn't finished the spending cuts or the internal devaluation. I believe Europe will be in recession during the whole 2013. However, Europe may get more healthy during the end of 2013.

United States may go back into recession due to the fiscal cliff or large spending cuts. Certainly, the US is going to slow down. Asia, South America and Australia will do fine. Africa will stay poor so no change there. Middle east will decline due to the political conflicts.

For my life, I expect 2013 to be quite tough because it my most important year at university in New Zealand, but I am more confident than last year.
