Neither option. Humans have caused more violent crimes that anything else. ;)

Cars are the largest producer of death and crime in this country and should be outlawed immediately. Not only do they kill people willie nilly but the road rage crime they cause is staggering and we can't accept this any longer.

"In 1988, there were 3 media stories yearly on ‘road rage’, till 1994. By 1995-500 stories. 1996-1600 stories and in 1997, over 4000."

"Add to what was previously mentioned, that over 50% of the drivers are over-stressed and doing other things than driving, from cell-phone use and texting, to running red lights and substance abuse, or falling asleep at the wheel, the carnage is really devestating."

"One stat. thrown out was that in 1990, the overall cost was $138billions, with 45,000 lives lost, 5.4 million non-fatal injuries-28 million vehicles damaged".

"In other words at these rates, in the last 18 years, we have 810,000 deaths, 97.2million non-fatal injuries, 504million damaged vehicles and costs of $2,484 billions, not to mention the pollution and angst."

By that logic, we should be letting every boy and girl get a WMD for Christmas. ;)

No. By that logic, we should stop worrying about the numbers of guns, and focus on the human instinct for violent behavior, addressing which measures we can use to deter murderers from acting on their impulses. We were killing each other for thousands of years before guns were invented, so it's quite obviously not the guns which are the problem.
