Which 51 star flag would you like to see adopted if needed?

If we need a 51-star flag, which design should we use?

Puerto Rico voted to become a state, though there is some dispute over the results. They're not a state yet because their request would have to pass Puerto Rico's own legal hurdles and then be ratified by Congress. There's also some chance Guam or Samoa could get statehood, slim though those possibilities are. Maybe Alberta will get p.o.ed at Canada and request to join. (j/k). In any event, there is some chance we'll need a 51-star flag at some point. Here are two possible designs. I'll name them above each so that you can vote for whichever one you like best.

Basic Design (essentially the same flag with just one more star)

Circular Stars (stars forming a circle for the first time since we had only 13 states)

Of course another option would be to make both flags official. You would have the choice of which one you want to fly.

Top one. It looks more "stately" to me. The second one just doesn't look as respectable.

Top one. It's cooler. :)

Tbh. The circle one looks a bit dodgy to me.

I like the circle one... It's bold, I like bold. It has a America is the best and rulers of the world kind of feel to it.

Bottom one, references back to our first flag, would be cool.

What we really need, if Puerto Rico becomes a state, is to get two more states beyond that, bringing us to fifty-three states, which would be a prime number. “One nation, indivisible…”

Ooooh, nice.

But for me, the second one. Seems like a reference to some of our first flags.

I vote for the 3rd option (not shown) where the stars are made into the shape of a star, that way if ever another added you could say hey look its already there :)

Tough decision. The first flag I saw with stars arranged linerally looked raggedy because the stars were smaller.

The one posted here looks nicer because the stars are larger. I do like the circular arrangement though too because it reminds me of the first flag when we only had 13 states.

This one I like way better than the one posted because the stars are bigger:

Hopefully, we won't need one. If we take on another state, we need one which is an asset, and not a net cost.

I like the top one. I see a starfish pattern within the field of stars on that one for some reason....

i like the circular one a lot, but is suspect it will be the top one. i like it, too, though.

Bottom one it symbolizes Union like a Betsy Ross flag did

Basic design.

Never liked the circular design, whether it was our older flags or this new proposition.

This one has the government eating the people and is far more indicative of the current political climate.

I like the circular because the stars form a big star in the center, signifying that we are one nation.

Luna Tick i will take both for 200 please. We are about freedom and independence, I say we should choose to fly one or both if we want.

I like the Texas flag better, it was way easier to paint on my shed. :)

I agree, I like the historical feel of it.

The first one makes me dizzy, to be honest.
