What's question 7?

What's question 7?

It's a Maryland referendum/ballot initiative to expand gambling/gaming in Prince George's County, Maryland - basically approving the construction and operation of a Vegas-style casino.

hard to see any issue with a new piece of economic development like that, except the drunk gamblers that might wander about from time to time.

Yes, it makes sense, but only if a man is willing to read every word and think for a second.
That is todays problem, far too many quick read and then do not think.
I am not happy about not voting ....an excuse, my health ...its lacking..
Also, even the first improvement has not been made ....that is, as a selection....."none of the above" !

Ah, thank you SB. We had something similar, expanding gambling to non-Indian corporations. I think it's going down in flames. It's an issue of keeping our promise to the tribes not to allow outside casinos.

I took this photo with my cell phone when I voted today:

absentee ballot?

I considered voting for Jill Stein, but I just couldn't lol.

I gave Gary Johnson some serious serious thought, but like you i just couldnt. The time isnt right yet. Im hoping 3rd party will be mainstream by 2024.

I voted Obama today, I couldnt vote Mitt for 4 simply reasons. What his plans are for Healthcare, Equal Rights (Gay and Abortion) and who he might appoint SCJ.

I voted yes. I couldn't find a reason not too.

"Da Burgh" has a casino now, its very nice IMO. Company christmas party has been at a hotel there last two years

Gary Johnson.

not that it matters much, Romney will most assuredly take my county ( Williamson County, Texas)

but meh, as usual, i'm proud of my vote.

Last I read about it, most PG residents were leaning yes as well. There's not really a good reason against it other than "I think gambling is evil and casinos bring about social ills" blah blah blah. I think gambling is stupid, but if someone wants to gamble then go right the **** ahead. At least part of the revenue will go to the state and local gov'ts. It really says something about the merits of Question 7 that the primary funder of all the anti-Question 7 ads is a competing casino in West Virginia.

And for what it's worth I also voted yes on Question 4 (Maryland Dream Act) and Question 6 (Gay marriage). Although I suppose that's not really surprising to people who know me.
