The curtains on the campaigns are about to draw to a close. Election day is nigh. Which of these will you remember the most, and why?

I'll remember the cluster that was this election year and the non-choice we have at the polls come Tuesday.

I will remember that guy from Hungary who paid millions out of his own pocket to explain why socialism sucks and why he is voting GOP. that was the best ad of the campaign and the most truthful of all

Must have missed it. Link?

I think the liberal media bias is what stuck out the most to me this time around.

The climax was Candy Crowley's debate gaffe.

I will remember all your whining and your naive belief that everyone is envious thats voting for obama :)

Its on TV constantly, don't have a link, it was just on again here in Cincinnati. I doubt he would waste his money playing it in a hotbed of Obamunistic malaise

Except what he was describing wasn't socialism. It was authoritarian communism.

So, while it may have been the most truthful of all, it still wasn't all that truthful.

I set forth many reasons why people support Obama In your case its because you are mad about the tea party suggesting public employees suck too much from the tax payers. Gays like Obama because he favors Gay marriage. those who hate the religious right like Obama. Those who are wealthier when government is bigger like Obama. Those who are ambivalent towards American greatness are Obama supporters, Union bosses and blacks support obama. And those envious of the rich are a large number of the obama supporters who whine on this board

Where is Obamagirl this time? Huh? I demand an encore.

She has a crush on Obama.

Between Obamagirl, big bird, and binders, the Dems are overwhelming us with their substance.

explain how after that HUGE tax cut the top 1% paid an EVEN HIGHER PORTION OF THE FEDERAL INCOME TAX BURDEN

Big Bird, mostly because of how ridiculous it is for Romney to cut such a small part of the budget, yet at the same time increase military spending, which itself is already astronomical.

yeah when you can find a part of the constitution that supports spending on big bird let me know

PBS gets only like 12% (I think) of it's funding federally, the rest comes from viewers like you :)2razz:). It's just a really terrible argument to talk about how much we spend on public television compared to how much we spend on so many other things. The way I see it, considering how much good public television does for education, arguments against Big Bird seem nothing but political.

But to your point, why would a document from the 18th century have language about television?

what part of the constitution authorizes the federal government to spend even a dime on PBS? you seem not to understand the point. its not about the money-its about the proper constitutional powers of the government.

In that regard, I would say certain changes due to technology reach far beyond the Constitution. Part of the reason we're held back so much is because of the language of the Constitution, because it doesn't take into account the rate of change in our society, though we can't blame our forefathers, how were they to know? Television and the internet are becoming (and in some cases have already become) integral parts of life, so we either keep up with that or we cave in to die-hard fundamentalism.

so what part of technology now authorizes expenditures on public television when there is plenty of private television (some would say too much)
