Forgot about Al Jazeera. Not easy to get where I live. I'm assuming its available online. Last I checked they charged a monthly fee for access to their Internet video, which I'm not going to pay. It might be free now.
One of my biggest problems with Middle Eastern media is their almost complete untrustworthiness; propaganda on steroids. I learned this when channel surfing and stumbled upon a satellite tv channel called Link-TV. They feature daily montages of newscasts from the Middle East translated into English. However, it seems the Middle East news outlets providing the content may create original English language reports if they prefer. Some do, others simply allow their Arabic language reports seen in the Middle East to be translated into English. What is obvious is the news they give their own people is 180 degrees different from what they give their American audience. To their middle eastern audience terrorists are heroes, America is evil, any and all problems of the world can be ultimately traced to American policies and its game on against America. If they do a special English language report it's poor middle eastern women, children and civilians; Israel is horrible; all they want is peace and democracy.
It's completely free you can watch it here. They have tons of interesting programming that you can watch. All of the content on AJE is original done by English reporters, nothing is translated. Most of the reporters are British. AJE is specifically meant for Western audiences. AJE was originally made by a former CBC reporter, it's almost entirely separate from the Arabic Al Jazeera. It's a really good news source, with it's own unique English content. I suggest watching things such as People and Power, Activate, Inside Story, Faultlines, and live from Washington D.C. The Stream. They were of the only networks that broadcasted the third party debates. Just watch it, it's really good.
