Who Is The Crappiest American?

Which Type Of American Voter Do You Hate The Most?

  • The informed guy who is voting against my candidate.

    Votes: 2 3.1%
  • The single issue voter.

    Votes: 18 27.7%
  • The uninformed guy who is voting against my candidate.

    Votes: 30 46.2%
  • The guy who doesn't vote.

    Votes: 15 23.1%

  • Total voters
    65
Why would the guy who doesn't vote be a crappy American when they already know and understand that their vote doesn't matter?

My take on the crappiest American wasn't represented in the poll choices.

The crappiest American is the one who puts party first, country second. The partisans. The people who disregard all logic and reason because they have arbitrarily decided that their partisan ideology is correct.

They aren't stupid by nature, they are stupid by choice. That's unforgivable.

Every vote matters. If not for patriotism or even out of concern about state and local politics, then consider living somewhere like Ohio, where the winning candidate for president may be chosen by a few thousand votes but will take all our electoral college votes.

It's not true that none of us as individuals can have an impact -- and if you choose to do more than vote (campaigning, giving money, getting involved with your local or state party) you'd be flabbergasted at just how much of an impact you can have, and you don't need to be a DuPont heir to exert it.

I've een thinking about this for quite some time, now, and my vote goes to Gallagher.

Either him or Carrot Top.

Every vote matters.

Demonstrably false. I have never had a vote of mine matter, ever. They have ALWAYS been thrown out and discounted.

In swing states, your vote might matter a very small amount, but only if you vote for the winner. If you vote for the loser, your vote is thrown away. Literally. It's thrown away.

Our system is not designed for our votes to matter. It's definitely designed for our money to matter, though.

Yanno I wuvs ya, Tucker, but you're wrong about this. You've always been wrong about this, and you'll always be wrong about this.

I don't know how I can be any clearer -- you're WRONG.

Compelling argument.

Josh guys, we place waaaaaaay too much weightiness on politics. Which Type Of American Voter Do You Hate The Most? I don't hate anybody, especially over their political leanings for crying out loud. The closest I come to hating anyone would be these SOBs.

HTH old are you, muciti? I was there. In 1960, when JFK ran against Nixon, the only topics of convo were whether electing Kennedy would mean the Vatican was running the US and how much Nixon sweated.

Have you heard even a peep about Romney's peculiar religious beliefs? No?

Me neither.

Yea because Romney being a Mormon and Obama being a muslim havent come up :doh

Not anything like Kennedy's being a Catholic did in 1960, and I doubt you know this of your own knowledge, so just believe me.

BTW, you do not have to stand on line at the polling place to vote, but you do need to request an absentee ballot very soon. If laziness is preventing you or anyone you know from voting, this can be a great alternative.

I do not enjoy standing on line, so I absentee ballot vote myself.

Here is the link to all US county boards of election:

County Board Directory

It is almost certainly too late for anyone to register in time to vote November 6th, but anyone who has moved and simply needs to update their address may still do so.

Hate, resent, feel annoyed by, whatever. I didn't write the Op title so as to eliminate anyone's zen-like peace of mind, Smeagol.

In our time, when people look up to the poorly educated but slick-talking media as if they were the Wise Men called in to verify the birth of the Messiah, "informed" means "brainwashed, with talking points."

Hate is a strong word in this case....and you also left out the option "The guy who commits voter fraud"

Speak for yourself. I do not watch tv news shows and I can still read.

There is no "guy who commits voter fraud". There's hardly even any "crappy county boards of election that can't count".

Americans generally have no clue what it's like to risk you life just to cast a ballot. We're a bunch of whiners who live in the greatest democracy the world has ever known, and don't appreciate it.

Am I hearing excuses for not voting from people who are on a political message board every day, talking up their candidates and proposals?????

:doh

No prob. LOL. I just get a little bummed out when so much emotionalism is invested politics, which IMHO only escalates hostilities.

PS. Its okay for anyone to fix my typos when quoted :3oops:

True....I work in a office full of people in which at least 2/3 admit they do not vote....I want to shake them.

If you'd have asked who frustrates me the most I would have answered, "The guy who doesn't bother to vote."

That hardly qualifies him or anyone else in your list as a crappy American or an idiot, however.

Out of all the people on your list the people who annoy me least is the people who dont vote. They probably dont know the issues and they probably dont care, hense they dont vote, which I see as very wise. I am annoyed with all of the uninformed twits running around.

I don't think it's bad not to vote, in fact, most people are stupid and uninformed and I don't want them voting. I think the worst is the one who has no clue what they are voting for but vote anyhow, no matter who they vote for. Idiots need to stay home.
