For those not educated well on history, it may be difficult to pick a president. But here are the top 9 imo. If you feel differently, please specify by commenting (other).

"Old Hickory" - Andrew Jackson
~Given to him by his soldiers for being "as tough as an old hickory."

"Honest Abe"- Abraham Lincoln
~For always being straightforward and honest.

"Rutherfraud" - Rutherford B Hayes
~Due to the disputed results of the 1876 election, many Democrats considered him to illegitimately be president.

"Silent Cal" -Calvin Coolidge
~Because he was a man of few words.

"Ike"- Dwight D Eisenhower
~Campaign slogan. Nickname as child.

"Tricky Dick"- Richard Nixon
~For the democratic party ad, criticizing his record by saying "Look at Tricky Dick Nixon's Republican record."

"The Great Communicator"- Ronald Reagan
~For his exceptional ability to articulate.

"Slick Willie"- Bill Clinton
~For his ability to talk his way out of a mess...perhaps for other reasons too lol

"Dubya"- George W Bush
~Texas pronunciation of his name

Dwight D. Eisenhower.

at a dinner party with president Coolidge, some society lady went up to the president and said she had bet someone she could get him to say at least three words.

President Coolidge said YOU LOSE and turned and walked off

I was sort of partial to

Lead Bottom Johnson or "the Peanut Farmer for Jimmy Carter

That's great. :D I was little disappointed by the list of poll options, none are even cool.

I'm daunted as to why "The Great Emancipator" isn't on the poll for Abe.

Edit: After reading that list, the poll options surely could of been much better.
I could only fit 9 on there, and I only wanted one per president for variety. Technically Abe's nicknames could make up half the list. I did include an "other" option.

Fair enough, I guess.

I cannot decide between Slick Willie and Tricky Dick!

I thought Reagan's nickname was Dutch
They're kind of the same.
Kinda of yet one was slick for different reasons then the earlier one was tricky!

I Like Ike.

Honest Abe is probably not very accurate. But it is very well know.

My favourite is still "The First Black President" for Bill Clinton
