I know the US government is "too big to fail" but that's not what this thread is about. ;)

So, is the US government too big, what say you?

I dont see the point of the actual question.

The US doesnt have a government

The US is a corporately run fascist state

Perhaps youre confusing the circus full of clowns and corporate puppets in Washington with a genuinely voted in democratic structure that represents the wishes of the people?

Yes ladiea and gentlemen that would explain it

Try not to post the same thing on every thread, pleeeeeease.

Of course you're entirely correct

On the other hand, the truth can never be repeated enough

It seems that you tolerate lies being repeated by your corporately run media and government, but get all squirmish and uncomfortable when the truth is aired in public

I can understand that - its difficult, I realise that, but you must muster up enough personal courage and character integrity to face up to the moral monster that your Corpocracy has turned into

This is not the time to run away or bend over in front of the Corporate Tyrrant to be spiritually de-rimmed

I'd say we spend too much on the pentagon. there are other areas we could cut, and some we could expand. it's a little more complex than "too big."

Exactly. Look at all the corporate appointed heads of departments getting the laws they want passed.

I see. We were much more free when we could own slaves and make sure our neighbors went to the same church, ... ...

Exactly. Look at all the corporate appointed heads of departments getting the laws they want passed.

They even managed to achieve the seamingly impossible verdict handed down by the US Supreme Court in 2010 - Now a Corporation is legally and morally a PERSON.

Then again the Corporate Tyranny controls everything, the state, the financial systems, the mass media and the Judicial system - everything. The USA is currently the most effective fascist state seen in Human History - and its armed - with very BIG GUNS

Ironically, the Corporate PERSON entity (whatever that means) will depend upon the US constitution and Bill of rights to protect its "rights" - instruments which are currently impotent and have been suspended in the USA by various Patriot Acts and the NDAA etc.,

(Good to see the Citing of the AUstralian academic Alex Carey in your signature box)

nothing has changed

the freedom you believe you have now is an illusion

There has NEVER been a democracy in the USA

THe current Corpocracy Rules like a tyrannical fascist monster - there can only be ONE way out of this mess

You know what to do

No, the government should be made more efficient, but be larger, nationalization of the financial and energy industry would be my first step.

It depends on what you mean.if you're talking about overspending on pork barrell projects like money grows on trees, yes. If you're talking about the taxpayer costs as well as the effects on the econmomy to implement burdensome regulations with no real benefit, yes. If you're talking about programs that advance scientific resreach, protect our citizens and encourage economic development, no.

Yes and no. In some areas we have relied too much on it, and in others, not so much.

Most people would recognize that stating that a country is run by a corporate facist state is also a form of "government."

Yes, but not a democratic government

More precisely, the USA is a tyrannical fascist Corpocracy - the highest form of fascism seen since 1120 AD

If it is a tyranny, then must there not be a tyrant? How about a name?

I say yes. It exercises too much power of the citizens of the several states. It should restrict itself to mutual defense and managing issues BETWEEN the states, not WITHIN the states.

You're not paying close attention
Try to concentrate and focus on the words and their order in the sentences you read.
Could help

The US government is under direct corporate control
Are you certain that you understand how the fascist US Corpocracy is organized and how it shuts out the citizenry?

Oh. Give. It. A. Break.
What give the "truth" a break???

Interesting approach - I believe that's the option Hitler preferred

By your logic nobody in human history as ever had nor ever will have freedom...

No. Give your schtick a break.

Are you like this around people in your real life? Because if you are, you need to work on a more subtle approach to your schtick.

It depends on what sector of society you're talking about.

Schtick??

Are you imposing an argumentative regime of subtlety specifically designed for me?

Interesting, I can see why some of my comments annoy you (or perhaps they morally challenge you? Nobody actually knows, because your stance is unknown)

Tell me something, why would the method of delivery or style, detract from the message or the content of any statement made in here?

So perhaps it may be useful to mount counter arguments rather than inserting trivial petty comments about delivery style.

The fact that you have resorted to this says a lot about you as a person and not me

Cheers
