The older you get the more elections you will win and lose. If your choice loses there is nothing else to do but to accept the results of the majority of americans or the Electoral college as it may turn out...and live your life. What else can you do ?

You can stock up on batteries, water, dried/canned food and ammo.

Press on like always.

I guess...but that might make others do the same thing...that arent necessarily on your side :)

I'll go on as always, and if the guy does a crappy job I will point it out and maybe throw in a few "I told you" shots every once in a while.

Live my life exactly as before and not really worry about it, other than being annoyed that my preferred policies to help the country are not going to be looked at. There is very little the government and president does that affects my life directly.

This... especially what I placed in bold.

Now I await comments from those who believe that demand is all important, and that this sort of thing may be exactly what's needed to get the economy rolling again.

I will be so upset that I will most likely shut off politics completely

This. But I'm probably going to do that after the election anyway. I've been enjoying politics less and less for about a year now.

I already know the candidate I am voting for will not win. His losing will not change my political views at all. I honestly don't think it matters whether Obama or Romney wins. Both of them will continue to grow our government and further regulate our lives. Regardless of who wins the things I can control in my life will not change nor will my political plans.

This election is Romney's to win or lose. It'll take an unforeseen catastrophe to derail him.

I'd eat a box of butter rum ice cream while sobbing to the latest installment of Carrie Underwood.

Oh wait a minute, since I'd vote for neither scumbag that makes this a sarcastic post. ;-)

Viva la revolution! :crazy3:

With the election quickly approaching and tensions running high this election season, I have to ask:

What will you do if your candidate for POTUS loses?

Will you continue on with a negative attitude, or will you 'buck up' and roll with it? In elections past, we've all heard how some threatened to leave the country - and then after the fact, most didn't. And, how long after the elected POTUS takes office, will you expect to see results if 'the other guy' wins?

Seeing how my candidate is not a member of two party monopoly and my state screws 3rd parties I already know that my candidate will lose.So the only things I can do is to do what I always do.Which is vote for senators and congressmen who will stand up to those libs and write, email and fax my elected officials.

This is the most important election in human history and life as we know it will come to an end or we will enter an unprecidented new golden age - depending upon which of the two wins.

I fully expect that Obama will win....but if Romney does win....then I will support him and hope that he moves America forward. My biggest concern with Romney is that he will try to push the right-wing's social agenda and will pack the Supreme Court with right-wing activist judges. I hope that this would not happen...and I hope that if Romney pulls it out....I'm wrong.

Both suck so it doesn't matter. The same old cow dung will occur no matter which of these buffoons is in office.

If I am a Republican, I will move on and work to make the next election syscle go better, whil making preparations for the next worst 4 years we've had.
If I am a Democrat, I will join the local riot, accuse the GOP of cheating, declare every GOP voter a racist, and whine, cry and bellyache about how terrible GWB was.

Well I've voting for Gary Johnson. Seeing how he is actively kept out of the process by Republcrat rules, I don't really expect him to win. I'll continue on pushing for the limitations I would like to see, supporting candidates of like political platform, and trying to get information and exposure of libertarianism out to more folk.

Lets see...it will be a Wednesday...so...I will get up at 4 and head to work as usual. Sleep on the vanpool for an hour or so, work hard, go home. The 9th and 10th I'm pretty sure we have an overnighter planned on the lake...that will still be on. So...

pretty much business as usual?

Well ill continue with my life.

I can't say I really have a dog in this fight anymore. I've been disappointed by so many elections, It's hard to care anymore. Not that "my candidate" lost, but because I can't really like anything about any of the candidates. Huge disappointments, since I don't think any of them even knows what it means to be President of the United States. When Bachmann and Palin threw their hats in the ring with their stupid "hey y'all, pick me cuz winning n stuff" campaigns, I lost all hope for the future of this country. Not because idiots ran, but because millions were just eating it up, when they should have just handed them a box of crayons and some circles of safety paper. My problem has never really been the candidates, it's been the fact that our candidates are a consequence for mass stupidity, and has really changed my opinion on the "virtues" of liberal democracy.

But I will continue with my life as always.

....but packing SCOTUS with Conservatives is part of what has to happen in order to move America forward....

That would move America backwards to the dark ages......
