Recreational use should or should not be legalised?

My belief is that it should be, and two major parties here already advocate it. What are your thoughts?

As I see no indication that it is more harmful than alcohol, physically, or socially, I support full legalization, and in fact, think it would be beneficial as a general chill-out for people who are much too uptight. ;)

:yt

What lizzie said. Stuff doesn't appear to be any worse than alcohol. Legalize it.

Weed makes people lazy and unmotivated. I say "no."

So does alcohol, obesity, and genetics. Are you wanting to outlaw these as well?

Oh L-rizzle, you complete me. Perfectly put.

I would much rather someone be lazy and unmotivated while buzzed than uninhibited and reckless.

i think you dont have any other problem there .)))))))))

I have often heard that marijuana is a gateway drug.
I think the comment is socially misplaced, it is a gateway crime.
Once someone values their recreational activities over the law,
the value of all laws become diminished.
Restrictions placed on our freedoms, are just that.
It doesn't matter if it is a smoking restriction, or a pot laws, they both limit freedom.
Both sides right and left take away peoples freedoms, and justify it from their perspective.

I think the only reason it might be a "gateway drug" is because of your exposure to other drugs when dealing with a dealer. If it were offered at gas stations, it wouldn't be any more of a gateway to something than alcohol and cheetos are a gateway to anything.

no problem if you are not sex addict

Sex is more addictive than crack.... or to be more specific crack cocaine! If you have tried it once and even if you have not you are probably hooked.

Absolutely. Stupid laws encourage a general disdain for the laws and those who enforce them.

everything happens step by step ,today marijuana ,tomorrow cocain..the harms of these drugs always seem much more than alcohol can give.you can easily be a marijuana addict without any reason but many people are just social drinkers..

Have you ever drank alcohol? Have you ever smoked marijuana? Once you have, you'll lose all preconceptions about the evil of weed. It is absolutely irrational that one is illegal and the other isn't. I know far, far more alcoholics than I know potheads. And I've never in my entire life met a violent pot head.

I've met people who absolutely could not function, and would get extremely violent if they didn't have a drink, yet never a single person in even the same ballpark when it comes to weed.

What? You can just as easily only smoke marijuana socially. The guy that does it at concerts? I mean, that's actually quite common.

Not everyone that smokes marijuana is an addict. It's addictive qualities are less severe than those of alcohol.

Marijuana and cocaine have VERY different effects, and the users typically have very different reasons for using. Give me a pothead any day over someone who wants to be ginned up on coke. There is no comparison.
