Racism exists, but its effect today is overstated.

Even though it was written in the early 60's the book "Black Like Me" about the white Texan who medically changed his skin and hair to appear black is still pertinent to today. Racism has gotten better than the 60's but it is still there. It has not been that long that we were segregated. Candidate Romney's own church did not accept blacks to the same rights as white members recently as 1978.

Not exactly... I'm an advocate of welfare, but also the Civilian Conservation Corps - look them up, they're such a wonderful idea. :2wave:
