If you were voting for Obama did the debate change your mind?

Judging by the Frank Luntz focus group that may not be so. 24 undecided, 12 dems, 12 repubs.........after the debate there was only one Obama supporter left.

You do realize who Frank Luntz is don't you? Why would you think a man who has spent his whole life twisting the truth to his own partisan desires is being anywhere near honest about anything to do with politics?

Would you at least admit that Luntz is as partisan and krugman and they both exaggerate for partisan reasons ? because I certainly do

Bush won 2 of his debates with Kerry.

No he didn't. Navy Pride's short memory span again. GWB got creamed in the first debate and then did much better in the next two, but by most accounts Kerry won all three of the debates...and Bush still got elected.

Debates are an opportunity for candidates to ignore the questions while repeating their own soundbites, and remembering to shave beforehand. From the sound of things Obama forgot to shave.

Debates are a way to see a candidate get some hardballl questions without a teleprompter and Obama failed more miserably then any candidate since 1960.

Your creditability is zero. Hell you even think Obama won the ddebate with Romney. Get your head out of the sand...you lost big time.:lamo

I wonder how many of those voting 'yes' were really going to vote for Obama? And how many are just trying to jack the poll results around a little bit.

Is everything a conspiracy to you?

Contrary to left wing spin The oil companies have a profit limit they can charge.......The federal government dictates that.
\
The government doesn't tell the oil companies what to do. The oil companies tell the government what to do. The corporate oil companies are people too.

Some people just can't get over the fact that GWB kicked democrat ass in 2 elections.

What does that have to do with you casting a fraudulent vote in a poll here?

Either you are completely clueless or flat-out lying....but in either case you are absolutely wrong. First...I never said Obama won the debate. I thought Obama's debate performance was pathetic. But although Romney clearly won on style...his substance was lacking and filled with incredible flip flops and lies.
But as for 2004. Do a little research my Republican friend.....most every pundit scored all three debates for Kerry. Ultimately it didn't make a difference because Kerry was a horrible candidate....much like Romney.

Considering that the two people who voted "yes" (You, Reform College), I'd say yeah. By the way, I never knew you were voting for Obama. You liberal.

Shrug. I never really understood where the idea that Obama was some master orator ever came from anyway. Listening to him talk makes me feel super uncomfortable, like watching somebody in a play forget their lines. It's just really awkward. Clinton? Now there was a dude who played it up to the audience. He gave you the idea that there was no place in the universe more comfortable for him than in front of that audience.

Anyway, good public speaking skills are always welcome, but I never accepted that they were a prerequisite for wise governing.

Try and keep up, read the thread...I explained that.

When all you can say the whole debate is that Romney want to give a big tax cut for the rich andd it is rebutted over and over again you are in deep kimchee.

Newest jobs numbers out today... unemployment is under 8% for the first time in 4 years..

Yea... that must be embarassing...especially for a socialist. If you could just give everyone spoons and send them out to dig coal mines, you would get unemployment down to 0%.

As I predicted, Obama's interviews with mainstream media, The View and David letterman were not sufficient practice for his interview with Romney.

Or you could be a social darwinist and let "survival of the fttest" take care of it.

I didn't think that even a clear win would change anyone's mind if they had already chosen a candidate, but I just noticed what's happened at the pink house. There's a pink house in my neighborhood and they're famous around here for the house colors and the political signs they put up every election season for the last 30 years. Almost always democrats (the moderate kind) and they had Obama up last presidential election, and this one too - until the day after the debates.

The Obama signs have been replaced with Romney/Ryan signs, and I saw them doing it, so I know it wasn't the handiwork of vandals.

I'm thinking we may very well see Obama defeated this time around.
