The President, or Mitt Romney?

a draw goes to the challenger. but I think Romney was about 5-10% better. So it was a win for him clearly

Romney, by a nose. Maybe a quarter of a head.

But that might be a greater long-term victory. If this is the story for all three elections, it puts Romney in a good position going into November.

Romney certainly was more authoritative and energetic, looked sharper than in previous primary rounds. Although he spent a good portion of the debate on defense, he'll probably receive a small bump in the polls or at the very least spark some enthusiasm among his base.

The President, or Mitt Romney?
Romney won relative to expectations because he exceeded them and Obama fell below them.

Obama won relative to maintaining the general image of his opponent that he wants because Romney still looks like the guy with big promises and no specific way to get there.

Romney can get the upperhand by offering more specifics and continuing the challenge the President and go toe to toe with him. Obama can get the upperhand by remaining calm and not getting pissy like he was. As the incumbent, Obama ought to play the "I've been here, you haven't" card a bit more because Romney has made himself look far more equal in capacity than he is.

Romney by the inch of the football that we all want just over first down marker to get a first down.

Disappointed over what, or whom?

Rommney, I am not enamoured with him and to be honest his answers did not give me any confidence. I thought he sounded excactly like your typical politician. The only bright spots were when he talked about the constitution, and the declaration of independence. Other than that my skirt didnt even have a breeze.:sigh:

The next debate will tell us much. If Obama comes out lifeless like he did tonight - he could very well lose the election. If he gets a fire under his ass and comes out swinging and going for a knockout blow on every exchange - that will but him back on top of this thing.

The real question is does Obama have that sort of passion in him? We will find out.

I loved Romney's answers. He did better than any other debate prior to this one, and he came in with a full charge. The President looked like he was constipated.

I just heard it on the radio. I didnt find much to like about either though Rommney at least mentioned the constitution and declaration of independence. I am very much like Eastwood in my politics. So that colors my opinion.

Romney by a nose.

Personally, I'm looking VERY forward to the VP debates!

By a NOSE? Were you watching the same debate I was?

I'm also looking forward to Ryan v. Biden. :)

I don't understand, what's so great about ryan v biden? Or do y'all just wanna watch it because you ladies think Ryan is hot?

Nah, he hates Big Bird so bad he's gonna pull funding. Big Bird will starve and be digging into Oscar's garbage can for scraps before you know it.

Big Bird needs to get a job and stop relying on the taxpayers to pay his way. :)

TGND thinks Biden will wipe the floor with Ryan and I think the very opposite. I just think it's gonna be an entertaining debate. :)
