Exactly, since when is it a crime to be smart?

Nobody said it was.

It may not be smart to put the interests of the USA down your priority list and then ask the American people to let you run the nation and look out for them.

I think as long as he refuses to show them it creates enough of a distraction to keep people focused on this issue and fighting amongst ourselves on the why he should and the why he shouldn't show them so it now overshadows any negative attention about his flipflopping ways.

Unless you want the people of the USA to put their faith in you and you are attempting to convince them you should lead this country. Then you might have a problem with fvoring other nations and other people instead of the USA.

Sort of like politicians sending their children to private school while making decisions for public schools?

After all the public demand you'd think Romney would show his tax returns for the past 10 years however low they are.

After all the public demand you'd think Obama would show his college transcripts however low they are........

sauce for the goose, Mr. Saavik

sort of like politicians passing Obamacare while exempting themselves from obamacare?

I for one want someone who is smart enough to take advantage of the gainful opportunities right in front of them. Why should anyone pay a dime more in taxes than they absolutely have to?

Then you might have a problem with fvoring other nations and other people instead of the USA.

Using the tax code to your advantage does not equate to "favoring other nations and other people instead of the USA."

Let me ask you this -- do you take any deductions on your taxes? Since our debt and deficit are so large, maybe you should stop -- and put the interests of the USA first.

...he isn't relateable to the common man. He's a lot richer, smarter, and better educated than most of us...The average Joe from middle America can't relate to that.

This statement is true for Obama as well.

What public demand? Was there a vote on it?

.

Democrats who plan to block the man want those tax returns.

Me, I look only at the taxes Romney paid.

HE pays more in income taxes than Obama earns.

So, since this is true, why do Democrats want returns on the man they do not support?

This statement is true for Obama as well.

Bear in mind that Democrats did not watch the republican convention.

To them it was just lies so why watch it.

Had they watched it, they would have learned that when Romney got married, his table to eat on was an ironing board.

I mean, with all his advantages? LOL

Yes, the man started with virtually the shirt on his back and has paid far more income taxes than Obama has. I do not see Obama ever catching up to Romney as to paying federal income taxes.

Exactly. If Romney's tax returns showed that he paid 75% income tax rate, Obama supporters still wouldn't change their mind and vote for Romney. So why do Obama supporters care whether or not Romney releases more of his tax returns?

What were Romney's earnings? Don't democrats claim he makes 21 million dollars per year? They sure claim they know all about his income since they run about making all kinds of claims about his income.

I have two statements.
Romney pays more in income taxes by far than Obama pays. Obama has real guts talking about how much is paid in income taxes.

Romney by virtue of the religion he belongs to pays just his church a tithing of 10 percent. If he really earned 21 million dollars like democrats claim, since that is money donated for charity, he pays a lot more to charity than Obama does.

It takes Guts by Obama to make this an issue given that Romney pays far more to the Feds and the charity.

I explained why.

the fact that Romney is not in prison with Wesley Snipes is all the proof we need that he has paid all the taxes he was legally required to over the past 10 years. how much is irrelevant.

Paying taxes isn't the only qualification necessary to become president.... I'm not voting for him because I dislike his economic policies. More so, I'm in stark opposition to the conservative movement in and of itself. Paying taxes is cool, but so is presenting a viable economic solution. ;)

so what "viable economic solution" has Obama put out that makes him any better than Romney?

I watched the convention. Keep in mind people tend to lie at conventions, I assure you he did not start with "just his shirt on his back". He actually never said he was ever poor, but the way he's talking and the rhetoric he's using made those ultra conservatives think it. So I can't say he lied but I can say what you took out of that was not the truth.

I don't watch political conventions, ever, for either party. Besides being just flat out bad, boring television, all it is is the candidates and their supporters telling everyone what they want to hear, with no real content. They're just really expensive pep rallies, nothing more. I guess that's what makes them bad, boring television though. Plus, baseball was on. :)

I agree with you. So far, neither candidate has presented a viable economic solution.

I saw lots and lots of lying at the Democrat convention so I know how you feel.

I happen to believe what Ann Romney reported was her life early on with Mitt Romney.

I am less than satisfied with the Romney plan but it sure beats the heck out of the NO OBAMA plan. Look, remember what Obama said before he won the election.

He brayed that if he could not solve this by his 3rd year, that he did not deserve another shot.

If you believe his words, ..... lol

I take him at his promises.

No I won't vote for Obama. Being black just is not enough. HE has to really know how to do the job.

See, I voted for Carter the first time. Fool me once and shame on Obama, fool me the second time and shame on me.

By the way, I have hands on experience owning a major fast pitch softball team. We took 2nd in America.

I have time to explain why Obama is wrong and enough time to keep track with those long 162 games. I tend to focus more on baseball near the playoffs.

Back in 1978, when my team took second place to a team from Illinois, from Arcola, where some very rich oil man had the team we lost too, boy was it a lot of fun. Very expensive on me but a lot of fun.

Yeah. That was Sunday. Ikea couldn't deliver until Monday. But seriously, using an ironing board for a table is completely unverifiable and notably not a statement of wealth or ability to purchase. Maybe they never ate at home and had no need for a table. Probably every person alive could name something that they didn't have starting out that will make them sound poor. I don't own a color television. Well, I don't own a television, but it just sounds cooler to say color television. "Back in 2012, why, I didn't even have a color TV!" - sounds poor. Reality, "Back in 2012, I chose not to purchase a TV because I would never watch one anyway." - Boring.

OK, but don't you hang onto each word coming from the mouth of Obama even though you also have no proof he told the truth?

I'd actually rather eat off of an ironing board than a table from Ikea. Ikea is cheap junk.

No? Is that so weird?
