There are 3 nominees to choose from. Think about what each represents. Things are getting scary so It's crucial we get someone in office we can trust will have our best interests...

They're all pretty much useless on the economic front, but one of them believes in the need to address global warming, so that's what I've got to work with.

I know, I know. Democracy can be very inspiring.

1. Obama is destructive
2. Paul is insane
3. Romney will at least do what he is told

By who?

.....

George Bush was able to govern as a big-government conservative because conservatives trusted him, we liked him, he was one of us, we wanted to have a beer with him. It wasn't really until the disaster with "comprehensive immigration reform" and "I'd like to nominate a friend of mine to the SCOTUS" that we started to sit up and realize what he'd been doing with the checkbook.

We don't trust Romney. We don't even like Romney. Romney's leash is.... not quite nonexistant, but immeasurably shorter than Bush's.

A Romney First Term Administration will be about what most are - getting a second term. Romney knows one major heresy, and he's toast.

And who holds that leash?

That's the million dollar question. By the looks of things so far, whoever pays the most. So you can tell it won't be anyone who represents our interests.

Romney has plenty of money. Right now it's who can keep conservatives in his corner, rather than refusing to come out or running a third-party challenge.

I do not know what the L after the name of Ron Paul is there for in this poll.... the man is a Republican.

.....

The Koch Brothers.
The Cato Institute.
American Legislative Exchange Council.
Heritage Foundation
Federalist Society.
Grover Norquist.

for starters.

I'm really curious who Cpwill thinks is holding his leash. He seemed to consider it a pretty good reason for voting for him over Obama. I'm surprised he hasn't answered already -- he had to know that somebody on this forum would ask him that.

Good point. I hope he replies.

Do what he is told? I find that very scary. Bush did what he was told by Cheney and look where that got us.

It warms my heart a little bit to know that people see the reality of this coming election, and the insane influence that a few billionaires are exerting over it. That is some real class warfare right there. One class can purchase government obedience. The other cannot.

offer some legitimate options and add the choices of Gary Johnson and Jill Stein to your political poll

I'm choosing Obama again. However, I'm very liberal, so my dream president is Kucinich. I consider him the polar opposite of Paul.

I sincerely hope a huge lot of the tea party Washington politicians are replaced in the upcoming election, as well.

Romney. The #1 issue in the election is the economy. While I don't know that Romney can get it going, he's worth a shot. Obama clearly cannot, and Ron Paul's policy proposals (like returning to the gold standard) are a recipe for disaster economically.

Hahahahaha. Corrected for accuracy:

George Bush was able to govern as a big-government conservative because conservatives trusted him, we liked him, he was one of us, we wanted to have a beer with him. It wasn't really until Obama was elected that we started caring about the checkbook which hadn't cared about since Carter.

Worst "fantasy" poll ever.

Where are the other options?

I can think of at least 6, maybe more options that should be included on this poll.

Not to mention "I will not vote at all" and "other" for write-in considerations.

Huntsman
Bachmann
Gingrich
H. Clinton
Perry
Santorum
Trump
Nader
Johnson

??????????

Paul... isn't running for President.
