A free market just means respecting freedom of assembly. As long as every acquisition and transfer was reliable, monopolies are permitted.
Well yea, I agree. Most people don't appreciate freedom unless it makes them laugh.
The concept of freedom is laughable. From your own statements no one is free, since no one chose to be born. Life is shot through with obligations unless one chooses to go Kaczynski, so why should government not reflect society?
When people aren't laughing, they don't feel free and become willing sadists.
If they are traumatized, yes. I hardly think that social constraints are in and of themselves traumatic.
