That is true, but it is not just one issue that has alienated many persons of color from the GOP. That is something that I referred to early on in the discussion.

However, I would disagree with "personal responsibility" and "limited government" being platforms of the GOP. The GOP of today has become very pro-big brother, anti-personal choice and responsibility....and despite all the talk about "limited government", the GOP is very much a pro big government party.

Caine....you are being so completely intellectually dishonest here. You are better than that. Generally you don't jump the gun to such measures. I've always found you to be someone who I may not agree with, but at least engage in an honest conversation with, without bending and twisting what I said.

Im trying to point out that you are way off base bringing the issue of skin color into this debate.

I will have alot more respect for you if you can admit maybe YOU were the one who jumped the gun on this.

Do I need to pull up the video of the black guy who became famous because he told everyone to hide their kids and wife, who is gay, who still enjoys Chick-Fil-A and believes that the president has a right to have an opinion too?

I will admit, that making a reference to "fat asses" was over the top and added nothing....however, I stand by the argument I was making about persons of color. I don't think its a coincidence that there are no persons of color in any of the photos taken from multiple locations. Why?
Most likely for two reasons. Number 1 - this was a protest created and promoted by right-wing radio and tv...and most people of color do not employ such media. and Number 2 - because most people of color do not embrace the platform of the GOP.

To say this does not imply that the GOP is racist....however the photographs tell a story. As you or someone else said, many blacks do not support gay marriage. That is true....but you don't see any of them in these photos coming out to CFA? Why? Because the GOP has alienated people of color, not by this one issue but by a number of issues which they embrace.

Thats all that I was saying. It was a couple of knee-jerk reactionaries that tried to make this about "racism" because they felt the need to play the martyr card. If you follow the discussion I think it is pretty obvious that I was never making this about "racism". Everytime race is discussed, it doesn't have to be about racism.
