If MLK Day, Black History Month, Kwanzaa, and other political "holidays" didn't exist, would African Americans have anything to celebrate?
Among other things such as cultural or traditions passed down from generation to generation, there is Juneteenth.* Besides I see Black History month as a time set aside where the Black heritage, history and contributions are discussed rather than something political. Many ethnic or cultural groups have time set aside in a similar fashion to denote and celebrate themselves and their contributions to the US and society. Moreover, I do not perceive MLK whose work has benefited an entire country in the area of civil rights as a celebration of a "Black" holiday any more than I see Presidents day as a white holiday.
*"Juneteenth is the oldest nationally celebrated commemoration of the ending of slavery in the United States. From its Galveston, Texas origin in 1865, the observance of June 19th as the African American Emancipation Day has spread across the United States and beyond."
Juneteenth World Wide Celebration

Sorry but I disagree. Presidents Day is an American holiday, not a white holiday.

Go back and read his post. He did not say it was a white holiday. In fact, the opposite....
If I understand the question correctly it's asking if you take away all the holidays associated with a group of people whether they would have any holidays left?
MLK day: not about being black, but about celebrating one of the great Americans of the last 50 years. When are you so fixated on race?
Is presidents day a white holiday? Your logic suggests it would be.
Black History Month: Maybe you missed it, but the history taught in most schools is very Eurocentric. There is no harm is looking at history of other areas, and I would similarly like an Asian history month.
Kwanzaa: Really? Not even a national holiday, and I do not know one black person who actually celebrates it,
and you want to make a big deal about it? Do you get pissed off about Saint Patrick's day too? Cinco De Mayo? Yesterday was Tanabata. Did you get worked up about it?
Why is he great?
I'm not sure what the Presidency has to do with being white.
OK, so what history are we talking about?
If black people don't celebrate it, why does it exist?
No. Those holidays actually have narratives behind them.
If you don't have respect for what MLK accomplished and in a peaceful way, you're doing it wrong. Why is he great?
Helped a significant portion of our population fight for and attain more equal rights, and did so emphasizing peaceful methods. Have you taken any history courses at all?
Hey, the point is almost going home for you. The presidency has nothing to do with race, nor does contributing to your country. When you look at MLK, you see a black man, I see a man. It is a large difference.
We should talk about all of it.
As do the holidays you mentioned.
If you don't have respect for what MLK accomplished and in a peaceful way, you're doing it wrong.
Certainly, but what did MLK accomplish?
You really are trolling for a bad response simply so you can say - "See I told ya so!" Useless and racist in its basic premise while showing great ignorance of your nation's history.
If you have ever had a blood transfusion, you must give credit to a black man. I'll let you do the Google
Since you're a socialist, I pity you for not understanding the difference between culture and ethnicity.
Here's a hint - who you are is defined beyond what you are. Historical materialism isn't the end all to be all.
No votes and I hope it stays that way...This thread is a perfect example of why you should not get your talking points from Stormfront: because you will get ****ing stupid talking points.

Race baiting, poorly constructed, and with a complete lack of thinking involved, this is a major failure of a poll.
Certainly, but what did MLK accomplish?
More failure to actually defend one's starting premise. How do one's political and economic views cause misunderstanding of sociological questions? You know so little of the world you must lay the same lack of knowledge upon others - shame that.
He was a leader. He brought attention to just how ugly racial segregation was, not by urging riot or violence, but by peaceful protest. He was a uniter of people and that is very rare.
Which race was segregated, and which people was united?
And we see the problem here. You see things in terms of race. The rest of us are seeing things in terms of people. The problem is not with the holidays you mentioned, but with your race based views. There is a reason no one is playing your juvenile games.
