I believe Romney is neither liberal nor conservative, he will take the position that is political expedient at the time. When he ran against Ted Kennedy he professed to be more liberal than him, now that he is the presumptive nominee of the Republican party for president he has taken conservative positions. He just wants to be president and he will say anything in order to fulfill that task. He wants desperately to do what his father was unsuccessful at doing.

not true-most of the whining about Romney comes from the butt hurt hate the rich losers or the social fascists. You have been around long enough to understand that the two political groups I despise the most are the butt hurt whiners who bitch about the rich followed closely by the social fascists who want to reinstitute the Spanish Inquisition in 21st century America

Like a good number of other Republican career politicians, he is a liberal who stands to gain by convincing large numbers of people he's not a liberal.

Well he IS pandering to the rich so I would expect you to fawn over him. I bet you'd even convert to Mormonism if it wasn't for that "tithing" thing. Can you believe he gives over $2 million a year to the Mormon Church?
 
He is a liberal republican in the aspect that one is a moderate in the party. It's an older debate stretching the mid20th century onward

He campaigned as a pro-choice candidate.

Seriously, if this guy isn’t struck by lightning at some point during the 2008 campaign there’s no justice in the world. What do you mean believe this? Are you suggesting that none of this stuff is true? BTW I do want Romney to lose. Romney winning means the republican party goes further and further to the left.

Realize that while we're not voting many of us are sitting around reloading machines and shooting ranges to correct the mistakes of those who are voting.

I like him myself. I'm just honest about him. He's applying for a job. I'm the one who is making the hiring decision along with my colleagues, other Americans, and we're discussing his application. Do we hire him or to we renew Mr. Obama's contract for another 4 years?
