This poll is not about who you would prefer, but rather who you believe will be the Democratic Presidential nominee.

I think Andrew Cuomo has set himself up pretty well. We're still so far out it could be pretty much anyone though.

If she goes for it, Hillary, as it stands now, could well be the nominee.

2016 is so far away, I cannot even begin to think of who would run. I can say this, the Democrats will need some new people to put up against strong GOP contenders.

Assuming she can survive her election this calendar year, Elizabeth Warren could be a prime contender. As a whole, however, the democratic party seems to be lacking in "fresh blood" type candidates with national aspirations. Could be wrong, but that's just my perspective.

There's no telling. Chances are excellent that it'll be nobody on the list, and instead be a name from left field. In 2002, would Sarah Palin be on anyone's DP poll list as a possible veep? Nope. Nobody heard of her.

Whoever it is, they'll need a hell of a campaign to beat the Republican incumbent.

this one i can't predict this far out. it's possible and even likely that it's no one on that list.

Can't really predict this far out.

I'd like to see Hillary, or Cuomo though.

Someone who's not well known yet.

I like Elizibeth Warren a lot, but she's no polititian. I don't think she could fight dirty. :peace

Strong GOP contenders... you mean like Cain, Perry, Bachmann, and Gingrich?

I don't see why Cain can't be a strong contender. He certainly wasn't rebuked for his ideas and policies.

Once Republicans (and their constituants) stop pretending that all candidates require untarnished halos, they can field a candidate there on merit and not to cater to the ignorant bloc of the party.

2 months ago I said the 2012 election was in the bag and that by 2014, Biden would be out due to some 'unforseen' health problem or family tragedy and Hillary called on to serve the country as the VP. That would pretty much seal both 2016 and 2020.

Since the last 2 months, I have actually kinda been less convinced that 2012 is such a shoe in. I still think Obama wins it by hook or by crook (I suspect a total amnesty w/ voting rights come August October time frame if he is lagging in the polls), but while Romney isnt doing anything to win it, Obama isnt doing himself any favors.

Here's a wild idea...if Obama loses this election, he could in theory run in 2016 - it would only be his second term.

But that's highly unlikely.

He's also expected to ease up on marijuana users to get the youth vote. If anything, that'll put him over the top.

At least might get them interested in voting this time around since they have absolutely zero motivation based on his job performance so far.

Voted for Martin O'Malley. my preferred D nominee.

It'll probably be Hillary though.

Hillary, with Bill as her running mate. I'm just saying, that would be definite win after 16 years of terribad economy.

The sad thing is even I think they'd be a better choice than Obama... And I almost always vote for the republican candidates...

Since there are no term limits on the VP, this is actually possible. Hillary would want someone like O'Malley or Bayh though.
