I voted Clinton. I liked how he flew to Korea to free 2 journalists. He seems like a nice guy in general. They all seem pretty nice, actually.

Nixon was seen as an asshole, carter was one. but Ford was a nice guy, as was everyone after Carter
If you're going to fall down the stairs, you better be a nice guy.
Ford was probably the most coordinated man to ever hold the office. That was one of the biggest cases of the press creating a false impression of the man-he was a tall guy so sometimes he bumped his head getting into airplanes
I knew an SS agent on Ford's detail. It was hard finding agents good enough to ski with Ford or play tennis with him
he was a top flight collegiate football star who was hired by Yale as a freshman varsity coach. He asked the dean of the law school if he could take some classes and after he earned top grades the dean told him he was welcome as a student. he graduated highly ranked in his class. at the age of 65 he was still an excellent tennis player and an expert skier. Sports Illustrated ranked him the greatest athlete to hold the presidency ever
I always felt sorry for Ford. He really gets the short end of the stick when it comes to how history will remember him, politically and, ummm... physically. I also think he would have been a fine President had he won re-election in 1976.Ford was probably the most coordinated man to ever hold the office. You can be athletic without being graceful...

Strike that. Election.
he did something few would do
he did what he thought was best for the country knowing it would cost him the election
True. I don't think I've disputed that. I merely contend that he can't run for re-election to an office he was never elected to.
I voted Bush. Good back story on the guy that made me like him.
I had a buddy who was the lead crew chief on Marine 1 when he was POTUS. The first time President Bush went to his ranch in Texas, he sat and talked to my buddy for about an hour while they were in the air about regular stuff. Did he have a girlfriend, had he ever ridden a horse, where was he from, etc. At the time, my buddy was engaged. So President Bush offered a guest house to he and his fiance to stay in while at his ranch. My friend declined, of course. Well, the next day, his fiance shows up. President Bush had found out her name, had one of his aides call her, and arranged for his private jet to go get her and bring her to Texas. When I heard that story, I knew he was a good guy. In addition, President Bush's practice of waiting until his staff, Secret Service detail, and Marines/Airmen on his aircraft enjoyed their Christmas with their families before going home is awesome.
I think President Obama is probably a good guy too. He is extremely funny in his interviews, comes across as a genuinly good husband and father, and can laugh at himself. I just have a more personal story with President Bush so that's what leans me his way.
I think President Clinton is a dirt bag, so I don't even consider him.
technically true, the same was true with LBJ in 1964,
Yeah, I gotta go with clinton. He'd be pretty much the best wingman ever.
I'd say GWB. I'd put Clinton far down the list of likable Presidents.
Charisma. That's a good word for Clinton.I have met and sat in on meetings with all three. I was a Republican at the time Clinton was serving but I would still say President Clinton was the most likable in person. Obama and Bush both came across nice as well, but when Clinton talked to you he made you feel like you were the only person in the room. I have met a LOT of politicians and Clinton's charisma is in a whole other league.
Politics aside. Don't think about the economy, foreign policy, etc. Think about character stuff. You know, like cheating on your wife, being a drunk, or snorting coke. Which POTUS is the most likable guy of the last three? Clinton, W Bush, or Obama.
The way he treated women I don't see how anyone can say Clinton but that is just me.....
Says the guy who regularly degrades women, and seems mentally deficient (or stuck in the 50's)...Clinton was certainly a Dog, but he was also likable as a President.
Can't let that one pass since counting my wife there are 6 women (2 daughters, 3 granddaughters) in my life.............How have I degraded women my left wing friend?
