We've been told for 4 years, that a cockaroach could beat Handsome Obama for President.

in a few months, we will find out if Romney is more electable than a cockaroach. :)

You seem to have a different recollection of things than I do, it was pretty much assumed the Republicans would take the House in 2010 around here.

slelctive memoryis a nice thing. Republicans were obviously going to take back the House as of late summer early fall - to most. Spinrng time... :) "there is no way" is what we were told. :)

You do know that non members can vote there and if someone hasn't voted in the poll they can count the members who have voted............Also when the poll was meged with mine the votes were carried over......

I think that Romney is a better administrator than Obama is. If they were running directly against each other, I'd say Romney would win. The problem for Romney is the baggage of The Grand Old Poopheads. The economy is important (although we haven't heard anything about how Romney would fix it) but just as important is the reality that we live well into the 21st Century and we are reluctant to return to 1956. The Republican fascination with restriction of personal rights is so repugnant that I believe he will lose. Too bad - I'm pretty sick of Obama at this point.

I have made that argument myself but the mods tell me that is greatly exaggerated.......You as a mod should be able to count the number of members who have voted and get a pretty good count.......................I know you don't like the results and that probably has a lot to do with your concern.

It's an open poll anyone can see who voted, all you have to do is click on the number of votes on the side of the poll. And you can see only 14 users have voted in the poll.

I think Redress screwed up when she merged the polls and did not transfer the names of the people who voted........Previously there were a many more names there then there are now....

I think Romney has a good chance at winning. Obama will not have his teleprompter and we all remember what that was like when it went down. But, I see the rally of the conservatives, tea party, republicans running to the polls to vote for anyone but Obama. The goal for the right is to get Obama out and repeal universal health care. One thing Americans do not like is having a bill rammed down their throats when a majority was against it the first time and then to be forced to buy something. I think it will be a close race but I do not think Obama will win. He cant play the Bush card this time but I have a feeling we will hear it over and over again. I would rather not have Romney running. I was more in line with Herman Cain

I'd say it's probably a 55% Obama / 45% Romney toss up at this point, with a margin of error of 5%.

Undecideds tend to jump to the challenger. However, Romney is very unpopular with his base. However, there's a large anti-incumbant mentality across the board. However, incumbants have numerous inherent advantages. However, the fervor in Obama's base that swept him into office in '08 has largely died down. However, election season is just ramping up. However, the economy is hardly good right now. However, news reports are coming out constantly trying to convince people it got better (cue monty python voice).

I just think this things too close to call at this point and I wouldn't be shocked if either win by a small or relatively solid margin. If there was a true landslide, in terms of popular vote and electorate count similar to during the Reagan years, THEN I'd be shocked.

The Zombie Corpse of Ronald Reagan could probalby suck some independent and conservative votes away from Romney as well.

Considering the Zombie Corpse of Ronald Reagan has stated about as much intent to run third party as Ron Paul, it's probably just as relevant to bring up in a thread.

Glad to know you're apparently a Romney voter though. I'll be sure to use your happy participation in claiming what the chances are of Romney winning in this thread as proof that you're a Romney backer

All the polls say your Obama 55 romney 45 number is wrong, even with the 5% disclaimer...most indicate romeny slightly ahead within the margin or error....its not a big point ...but your 10pt spread in favor of obama is in my mind way out of line..
