And our government once deemed that involuntarily imported Africans were the property of the landowner as much as any other beast of burden. In such a situation, the notion of just "not agreeing with it personally" strikes me as well, not good enough. At least, not if you claim to support, at all, the notions of liberty or equality.

Why do leftwing bigots always get their socialism argument tangled up in their abortion argument?

Why do leftwing bigots fail to understand that one does not require religion to favor equality and human rights, and thus, oppose abortion?

Disagreed about the appropriateness of legally permitting human rights abuses, though. Also, disagreed about caring about the well-being of the perpetrators of human rights abuses.

If you don't believe that 54,000,000 abortions have taken place since 1973 then you my left wing friend are in a total state of denial.

How many illegal abortions took place BEFORE 1973 and how many women died in some dark alley or at the hands of a hack "doctor?" Do you have stock in a company that manufacture coat hangers? Making abortion illegal will not stop abortions... it would only make it an underground economy threatening women's health.

Why can't I choose both? I am personally pro-life. If I were a women, I would never have an abortion. The process is disgusting, I wouldn't be able to live with myself, etc. But can I tell someone else that they cannot have one when it cannot technically be called murder because of the disagreeing views on where life starts? I don't think that that is the role of the government. If every scientist in the world comes out and says that the developing baby is human at conception, thyen it is murder and shall be illegal. As far as I'm concerned, every single cell organism is nothing but a bacteria.

You might be surprised to hear that no where near the amount that have been performed since 1973 and the back alley coat hanger abortion was greatly exagerated......The reason being women or young girls did not sleep around like they do today and like my father told me if you knock up some girl then you had better be prepared to take care of her and her baby for the rest of your life....I believe it was called a shot gun wedding and it got my attention.........My sex life growing up was mainly HJs and BJs and you can't knock them up that way......
