I wonder if you have a link for that lie?

Jeb Bush: 2012 GOP Field "Appealing to People's Fears" - Fox News

Cephus misread it. Jeb says he hasn't changed, but feels the party around him had in terms of rhetoric, but essentially, in message, he agrees with the principles espoused by the GOP in general, and the candidates. What happened is that Jeb had implied that others are looking at conservatives like him and suggesting that they aren't conservative, or not conservative enough because they reject the rhetoric that Jeb feels is too based on emotions of fear.

Again, Jeb Bush's statement in context means that, as a conservative, he was questioning whether or not the rhetorical strategy employed recently were for the best of the conservative movement. The "used to be" implies that it has become taboo in the party to question the strategy.

Why in the hell would anyone want another ruling dynasty? I didn't/don't like it with the Kennedy's, I won't like it with the Clintons, I didn't/don't like it with the Bushes. The idea is reeks of intellectual laziness. There is no political gene. No American family has innate political skills that exceed that of most Americans. In fact, it is foolish and indeed dangerous to permit families to have that level of concentrated political power.

Vote for Jeb Bush? Hell, no. I would never vote for the any person in a similar situation.

Jeb Bush should be in jail for trying (and succeeding) to rig an election. Everything that Nixon did, he did far far worse. Systematically preventing people from voting, just to secure a win for your brother? That smacks of aristocracy, and is completely antithetical to American ideals. Not to mention being highly criminal. Jeb Bush shouldn't be running for anything. He should be in prison.

So let me understand you don't have a problem with Clinton getting BJs in the oval office with his wife in the other room or lying to a federal judge under oath?

I have a little bit of a problem with him lying under oath. But he'd never have had to do that if congress hadn't been poking their noses into something that wasn't really any of their damn business. I couldn't care less who Clinton got BJs from. That's between him, Hilary, and whoever was giving out the BJs.

Man you live in the wrong country...

Nope, this one's just right.

Considering the time, money and effort it took to NOT find anything they had been looking for, Whitewater and the death of an aide, pagan rituals in the Rose Garden or whatever sh*t the republicans were trying to find, getting all riled up over lying about an affair is hardly an impeachable offense AS THE SENATE DECIDED.

Nixon didn't order the Watergate break-in. He helped in a cover-up. He resigned and was pardoned rather than face impeachment. You might say he was a coward. Clinton stood impeachment with the Senate REFUSING to go along with the POLITICALLY motivated House.

And FYI we are living in the correct country, that some claim it is 'right' is their problem.

I don't fault a man getting a hummer, even when out at sea... ;)

Although I figure he's probably a decent man, the Bush's are bluebloods of the party, and we've had too many blueblood republicans as it is. They are barely discernible from their democrat counterparts in the fiscal sense, and fiscally, we have to get our house in order.

As everyone knows I am a big GWB fan ...... he will stand in the history of great presidents.......

Can you pick a position and stick with it Navy? How many times did you tell us that you "held your nose and voted for him because he was better than Gore and Kerry"? In between calling your hero a "great and inspired world leader"? LOL.....

My sentiments exactly.
IMO. what the conservative congressmen did ,of that time, was mentally sick - they should have been ashamed of themselves..

LOL and funny , "no more bushes", we need a weed whacker..

Rose tinted lenses I guess?

If he became the actual Republican nominee I would vote for him. I am just not sure I would want him to be the nominee.

Just curious, who would like to be the nominee?

Would depend on political platform and goals. But if history is any indicator, likely not.

Bush Senior - 1 term president, raised taxes

GW Bush - Medicare Part D, two expensive wars, worst economy since the great depression

Jeb Bush - End of the United States?

Am I missing something here? Why on earth would a Republican even want another Bush in office? I mean this is a serious question.

Jeb Bush is an "establishment" big-government Republican. The Republican Party and the Democrat Party should go extinct.

Our country is bankrupt. We're going over a cliff and voters keep re-electing these guys.

2010 - In the House of Representatives, 87% of the incumbents who stood for election were re-elected.
In the Senate, 84% of the incumbents who stood for re-election were successful.

Jeb Bush thinks like most of the big-government representatives in both major parties. Both parties voted to spend money they didn't have. We have to balance our budgets but big-government politicians haven't been doing that. Look how simple it is:

Nope, Jeb Bush would be like that GOP presidential candidate...Mitt Romney.

Great post. And especially great username.
