Honestly, what are your thoughts on this?

Some on the right seem to state it permeates our country, and some on the left apparently deny its existence.

Help?

My personal opinion is that I don't care and its not worth worrying about.

I have never heard any one deny political correctness exists. Can you show me where "the left" is denying it's existance? Not some random person, but "the left".
 
Sure it exists, I have never heard of many people that said it didn't.

I've heard multiple members on DP state that PC doesn't exist, and bristle at its mention by conservatives. Also, there are some articles that state PC doesn't exist:

Obviously some on the left believe PC exists, but I want to know exactly what people think of it, if they believe it exists, etc. There have been instances during my time on DP where members have stated PC doesn't exist, and there have also been times that political figures state it doesn't exist.

Is "the left" some monolithic organization that we can quote directly? If not, the purpose of your question escapes me. If so, please provide a link or otherwise establish who you expect to be quoted.

Did you read who Redress was responding to or did you just choose some random post and read it without context?

I would ask if you even made a basic effort to understand it, but I already know the answer to that question.

Yes it does. Progressives do seem to be more attuned to it I guess. That is just my opinion though.

Using this definition, political correctness exists. However, it is used far too often as an excuse by rude people who don't want to take responsibility for their language.

So an angelfire blog and one guys opinion on the Daily Kos. That would be hardly mainstream. Looks like you built another thread based on a false premice to attempt to smear a group of people by making **** up. Well done!

I find myself completely uninspired to do so. I just wanted to know what he meant when he wanted "the left" quoted as opposed to lefties.
