Conversely, do those who pay no payroll taxes have the right to dictate the benefits of those who have paid them.

Last time I checked only Congress has the "right to dictate how much others pay".
Since all of them are paying federal income taxes the question is superfluous.

On another note, don't you find it interesting that for the vote we have:
Yes: 17, with 16 names listed
No: 31, with 13 names listed (No, I didn't flip the digits)
Other: 10, with 9 names listed

that is very telling.

They were trying to protect their own interests and the interests of people like them. That's why they left out the people who were property (i.e. the dark of skin) and the people who were one step above property (i.e. they with the vagina).

Can we please, please stop romanticizing what the founders did and just be objective about it for a change? Yes, they were very smart, but they are not worthy of blind reverence.

Stop it. That couldn't have possibly been why they didn't want anyone else to vote.

****, you're right, I should stop my revisionist babbling. Obviously their goal was to protect all but the white men from the burden of helping to steer the country's government.

Isn't it great that they were willing to take up the yolk of choosing the decision-makers, so that nobody else had to?

Re: Do those WHO PAY NO FEDERAL INCOME TAXES have a right to dictate how much others

I have no desire to restrict anyone who is a legal citizen from government participation. My beef is people who don't pay any federal income tax wanting those who do pay federal income taxes to pay more.
I believe you are sincere when you say you have no conscious desire to restrict government participation... a benefit of the doubt that I would not extend to some individuals who express the same points-of-view... but the end result is still the same.
