Suddenly it is a civil right for the government to force employers, including religious employers, to provide birth control to their employees. Democrats are making the argument that birth control is prohibitively priced and that women cannot have protected sex unless someone else buys their birth control for them. Kathleen Sebelius has suggested that the mandate for employers to buy their employee's birth control will pay for itself because we won't have as many of those pesky babies to pay for.

So here is the question, if paying so that women can satisfy their sexual desires without consequences is a civil rights issue, what about men's sexual desires? Shouldn't the government make employers buy porn for their male employees? Unlike female employees who may need intimacy and relationship to satisfy them, most men are visually stimulated and can "handle" it themselves. So what do you think? If society should pay for safe, baby free sexual satisfaction for women, shouldn't society pay for it for men too?

Interesting take.

Contraception among unmarried couples definitely leads to a dissociated, unorganic society.

So does porn.

A lot of feminists would actually support this because porn empowers women. It also lets women dismiss unimpressive men by sticking them behind a computer.

A real conservative wouldn't support either. A real conservative would demand social assimilation such as mandatory school dances so children learn about companionship.

With all the streaming sites out there, who pays for porn?

Sorry bub, but quite a few guys have already been fired for using company computers to browse porn on the job. I imagine the same would happen if women did that also, though I'm not aware of that happening much.

The Op is misinformed. No employer is being forced to pay for contraception. Insurance companies are being forced to cover the costs of such, which can be quite high.

I don't see anyone bitching that they already cover the cost of ED treatments.

The government doesn't force all insurance companies to provide ED treatments

I think you are about as likely to get a virus from free porn than you are from free sex.

I didn't read the OP because I afraid I am going to read it an find out that my suspicions that he is comparing porn to birth control are correct. And if that is correct...

If you have a liberal world view, you might think I was comparing birth control to porn. But actually, I'm comparing forcing other people to pay for birth control to forcing other people to pay for porn. You might be interested to know, though, that some people (like some catholic employers) are as offended by birth control and the morning after pill as you appear to be about porn.

or if you have a FLASE world view you believe that people are forcing employers to pay for birth control

I stopped reading because its either fantastically badly thought out, or its some sortof trollery.

Why should employers be forced to pay for porn for men when they're already willingly paying for health insurance to provide treatments for erectile dysfunction to men, which is more apt to the analogy you're attempting?

yes.

porn is, after all... a right.
it's the job of the government to ensure we have access to our rights... which includes purchasing products and services inherent to those rights.

not only should the government force employers to pay for our porn, they should mandate we all subscribe to porn providers.

well, it wouldn't be the first time the federal govt. required citizens to buy something.

This is one of the most blatantly sexist posts I have ever read on this forum. You obviously know nothing about women's health needs, and it shows.

Oh, and they do pay for Viagra so your point fails on every single level.

Please don't insult honest misogynists.

The post isn't blatantly sexist - rather, it's utterly moronic.

As far as insurance goes, Viagra and Cialis are hardly ever covered.

There are various "male enhancement" pills/pumps covered by insurance companies, even medicaid, and the Catholic Church has insurance plans that covers them. They hypocrisy is rich.

Ah yeah! I've seen those commercials for the post-i-vac and how medicaid does cover them!

Touche!

I'm enough of an insomniac to see those WAY too much. Scarring.

I don't really know of any. I'm going by personal experience based on what I've seen in the pharmacies I've worked at. Although we never stocked male enhancement pills or pumps (Thank goodness).

There were some cases where medicaid paid for condoms (very few). What I found funny is 100% of the males who bought them purchased magnums (not kidding, might be one exception). All of the females purchased lubricated, normal, or those thermal ones.
