In reality, neither really, but I'd prefer Obama over Romney. I wouldn't get too worked up if Romney won though.

Romney, not ideal but the most electable. Obama sucks completely

Why isn't Ron Paul on the list he still may run as a independent, or maybe even a generic other. I will not be voting for either one of these guys.

sadly then you won't really matter when it comes to choosing a president. I suppose there is someone out there who really finds Romney and Obama the same but I find that idiotic

Actually someone like Paul can derail either guy in the election, not sure where that isn't influence within an election.

The list was not about the 2012 election or to dismiss those in the current race.In fact ... the republicans are still at a point that anything could happen ... it is only 4 states at this point in time.

It was more just to view which of these two men juxtaposed side by side were viewed more favorably. I was curious after Newt often remarked they are the same candidate.

If I was posting an election poll I would have included Paul. Yes ... I would like to see him run as an independent although at this point it does not seem like something he is seriously considering.

Sure then I vote neither, just scribble that in somewhere, thanks

This. They won't do things that change America drastically. But for supreme court nomination, better to have Obama than someone religious any day (not that I think Romney is as religious as Bush II).

I prefer people like Roberts and ALito who understand what the term "shall not be infringed" mean over leftwing feminists who appear to think their duty is to end "paternalist oppression"

Kagan is a joke

We have a primary here in Ohio, in March. Statewide and countywide, this is the big enchilada because the democratic party has a stranglehold on so much of Ohio.

I look at the ballot and it's depressing. I can't in good conscience vote for any of them, and I can't in good conscience not vote. I'll do a bit more digging, but in the end, I'll probably vote for Romney.

Over the long term the court swings back and forth, so I don't really think it'll make a huge difference in that department either. And to be fair, there isn't anyone on the court I would say allows religion to dictate his interpretation of the Constitution.

I disagree. Even if Obama wins, a race between him and Romney might do us a lot of good.

What would he debate with Paul? The humanity of blacks and jews?

No, just the bribery.

How would we know? Religion plays a part in forming a person's views on many other issues, it's not an accident that most evangelicals are Republicans. But it's about the President's religion informing him of who he chooses to nominate. A fervently religious President will choose a more conservative nominee. And the court swings back and forth because the Presidency and Congress swings back and forth, if the nominations were all made while the Presidency was under one party, the composition would be quite different.

Like it surprises anyone that you think in those terms.

Jane Sullivan Roberts currently serves as legal counsel to Feminists for Life of America (FFLA) on a pro bono basis. From 1995 to 1999 she served as Executive Vice President on the Board of Directors of FFL. Serrin Foster, President of FFL, said, “Jane is a brilliant attorney. We are very proud of her and appreciative of her service to Feminists for Life and women and children.” Ms. Roberts is married to John G. Roberts, Jr.

I understand that she only Roberts wife , but golly beaver

Romney's a slippery bastard and I don't think he stands for anything-- but one of the advantages of not standing for anything is not standing for anything I hate. Romney is never going to apologize for America being the world's sole economic and military superpower.

Well, I won't assume that Romney will be the Republican nominee, so your choices would be more relevant if...and when...he is.

But, given those two, I'll choose Romney because the worst Republican is better for our country than Obama.

Romney is never going to apologize for America being the world's sole economic and military superpower..... simply not true...The European union is the world's economic "superpower"..
Its scary, our nation being the worlds military "superpower"..
Lets hope that we are "up " for this responsibility.
Thus far, with our foolish adventures in Iraq and Afghanistan, we are not..
President Obama has his Nobel Prize ; Romney, nor any of the conservatives will never have one.
Why ??
Humility

...

Yeah, he has his Nobel Prize. For what? What did he do to earn his Nobel Prize?

President Obama ..... despite some obvious flaws he is light years better than Romney who seems to be willing to say anything and change any position to be President.

That probably says something about the Nobel Committee that you haven't considered.

Why ??
Humility

I don't think I've ever seen a moment of humility from Barack Obama.
