Recognition of financial reality. Conservatives acknowledge that there is a limit as to how much of future revenue can be spent now (by means of borrowing) before you begin to unduly enslave the next generation. Money doesn't grow on trees. When you are as indebted as we are as a nation, the rational plan of action is to stimulate revenue growth, so as to have more money for debt repayment and increases in operational costs AFTER the debt is contained. Conservatism is the exact opposite of what is happening now.

All sane people recognize that.

On the other hand, it sure as hell wasn't a liberal who said "deficits don't matter."

I think of someone who wants freedom for themselves but wants to limit the freedoms of others and wants war, war, war.

You are quite wrong then. The people you are thinking of are neo-conservatives, not actual conservatives.

It sure as hell wasn't a conservative, either. If you're not a conservative, then you're either a liberal or a liberal hybrid.

Mature, responsible, trustworthy, honest.

In business dealings... someone who will drive a hard bargain, but who's word and a handshake is as good as a signed and notarized contract.

Traditional. Cautious. Less activist.

Think we are on the same page. But that does sound more like the Eagle Scout motto. Pretty sure they have their own handshake to boot...

(But i digress.....)

Loving. Moral. Christian. Fighter for Freedom.

I think "has nice car and gets laid a lot", and unless that starts happening, I'm not going to be conservative any more.

The above is inconsistent with the actual voting demographics of the Republican party.

I read this and my head went "freedom fries". I don't know why. It just did.

When I think of a republican I think of a "traditionalist that later becomes an elitist." Usually keeps other's in line with use of religion, money, and a value system which few republicans actually follow.

Class war..............

It is not conservatives who engage in class war. Conservatives are more likely to treat people as individuals, and not as members of any group. It is liberals who pit the races and classes against each other.

Then why is Gingrich whining about Romney's money? :rofl

that is downright hilarious. Conservatives manipulate the tax code to benefit themselves and the wealthy at the expense of others have been engaged in class warfare for a very long time. Even Warren Buffett admits that his class is waging warfare and it is winning.

I've added the bolded part for factual accuracy. I don't agree with the sentiment, but without the bolded part, your statement is nothing but ideological whining.

Warren Buffet? GET REAL!
