No of course not, the far left feel betrayed by him. He's too centrist for them, and he's too left wing for Conservatives. He may have some of the Independents still but the extraneous actions and obvious misses in his first 3 1/2 years as well as the joke of "HOPE and CHANGE" have many independents wondering if they should just stay home and watch a movie on election night.

Should the far left not feel betrayed by him? I'd agree with most of your post, though. He's stuck between a rock and a hard place.

I give him between a C and a B.

he has done good & even great things, such as killing Bin Laden, signing a new nuclear weapons treaty, passing a good Financial Reform act, ending the Iraq War, and putting tobacco under FDA regulation.

but when it comes to understanding the GOP and their dishonest ways, and especially trying to negotiate with them, Obama has done poorly. Let's hope he learns from his mistakes and does better in his 2nd administration.

I think so... he promised everything to everyone. Frankly, I don't see how he wins given his record. He can't run away from it - I think that's why he's trying to run against Congress.

Well Congress does have the lowest approval ratings in history... plus there's the fact they have turned into a bunch of hyper-partisans bent on not agreeing.

killed Bin Laden.
ended Iraq War.
passed meaningful healthcare reform.
passed meaningful financial reform.
put tobacco under FDA regulation.
signed good new nuclear weapons treaty with Russia.
passed new fuel-efficiency standards for cars AND trucks (first time).
stock market back above 12,000 points.
unemployment heading down.

Obama's record isn't perfect, but considering the mess he inherited, he's doing ok.

Well, if there ever was another run against Congress now would be the time. I don't disagree with their strategy. If the tables were turned and a (R) were running they might do the same thing.

D, maybe D-. Between his apology tour and his handling of the budget, I have absolutely no faith in his ability to do the right thing for American interests.

For contrast purposes, I'd give GWB a D+, Clinton a B+, and GHWB a B.

Obama Outright falsehoods:
(More at Politifact.com)

"We've excluded lobbyists from policy making jobs"

Health reform will "give every American the same opportunity" to buy health insurance the way members of Congress do.
Preventative care "saves money".

Obama's changed his views quite a bit since 2008 as well. Politifact has these as full blown "flip-flops"

(From Politifact.com)

On the president unilaterally authorizing a military attack "that does not involve stopping an actual imminent threat to the nation".
In 2007, Obama was adamant that the president did not have the power to authorize an attack if there was no imminent threat to the U.S. But now he has authorized just such an action. Full Flop.

On a government spending freeze. (He was for it before he was against it).

On the importance of an independent voting record
During the presidential campaign, Obama defended his 96 percent record as a strong stand for his principles. But when Brown has the same rating in Masschusetts, he's not independent enough. That earns Obama a Full Flop.

On mandating healthcare coverage - (He bashed Hillary for it, but now it's okay)

I DO agree with Obama on one thing though… and here it is…

Have you never heard of Franklin Delano Roosevelt, Dwight David Eisenhower, John Fitzgerald Kennedy, Lyndon Baines Johnson, Richard Milhouse Nixon, James Earl Carter, Ronald Wilson Reagan, or William Jefferson Clinton?

Not from any of the righties who insist on wielding the "Hussein" part like a cudgel.

It's a pathetically immature and racially based way of pointing out that Obama is somehow not a real American-- too liberal, maybe born in Kenya, a elitist, has the same last name as the Muslim Arabs over there in the Mideast...

It's pathetic. And hiding behind the "it's his middle name, what?" is wearing mighty thin.

I always find it amusing how Democrats can pummel Republicans with Obama's actual middle name.

I find it amusing that that's what you think is going one here.

It's like sixth graders making fun of a kid with the last name of Wiener. "What? It's you last name, WIENER."

More like, I find it amusing that the kid being called "Weiner" gets others to beat up kids who have no problem with his last name.

Reading your posts is like watching a 10 year old jump on a scarecrow and scream "LOOK MAMA! I GOT ME A STRAW MAN!"

Ahh... so you're confused again by what you call a 10 year old post. What part would you like me to rephrase so you can understand it? Analogies are difficult for you to understanding... I know.

I gave him a B. I think he's handled the Wars in Iraq and Afghanistan with the correct measure, gets a bump for getting Bin Laden and letting SEALs take out some Somali dirtbag pirates. Otherwise he hasn't really done anything that other presidents before him haven't done. He'd get a higher grade if not for his dismal failure in what was called "health care reform" (just wait till 2014 people, that's when it will start hitting the fan for healthcare).

Your entire post is a strawman - I'll explain why:

Radical moderate spoke of "any of the righties who insist on wielding the "Hussein" part like a cudgel."

You twisted it into it being Democrats attacking Republicans and then further distorted his actual argument to be about and I quote "kids who have no problem with his last name."

At no point does Radical Moderate address people who don't use his name to insult yet you, like the feigned outrage agent you are, twisted it to be about something he never even spoke about.

In essence he said "son of a bitch" and you cried foul at the thought that he could call all women bitches.

Do you get the point yet Ockham dear?

I picked "F". Not because I think he is a traitor. But because I think that he is the worst President that we have had in a long time.

F, he's managed to be the worst of both worlds for me, fiscally reckless yet somehow finding the time to violate all the civil liberties he promised to uphold. EDIT: (Make it a D, didn't see the traitor bit)

Here's where I can help you. Actually I said:

Amusing means I found it funny. Then the reply was in the form of an analogy... and I didn't quite think the analogy that was presented to me by RadicalModerate was 100% accurate. Then I decided to craft an analogy that I thought would be more representative of what I was trying to convey.

Then YOU decided to jump in and defend the honor of Obama by claiming some logical fallacy... which also is amusing (as in funny) because my analogy was very tongue and cheek (meaning it was also supposed to be funny and not serious). But of course, you decided that you had to interject as if I was having a real and serious conversation with Radical Moderate.

At no point does Radical Moderate address people who don't use his name to insult yet you, like the feigned outrage agent you are, twisted it to be about something he never even spoke about.
:lamo Is it that you don't have a sense of humor or you just thought you might try an push my buttons tonight? Either way... your little accusations are also very amusing. Is this the part where you claim I'm programmed by "Faux News" or maybe Rush Limbaugh... oh no wait wait... ahh... it's all part of the Vast Right Wing Conspiracy!!

In essence he said "son of a bitch" and you cried foul at the thought that he could call all women bitches.
Really, I just thought they were female dogs... or aliens. One of the two.

Do you get the point yet Ockham dear?
Oh, are you looking for a date? See sweetums, I don't walk on that side of the road but thanks for asking! I'm really flattered... no really. Flattered.:rofl

It's the name he used when he was innaugurated. Are you ashamed of his middle name?

I'll take this as valid when I see someone talk about George Herbert Walker Bush, or Richard Milhous Nixon.

Like Obama i choose not to take a stand. So I will vote present, its the safe thing to do for a weak stuffed suit....Aw hell no, I can't do it. Obama gets a D- Just like the peanut farmer he will go down in history as a one term failure. I am giving him a D- as opposed to an F only because he is the first African American president.

I'll take this as valid when I see someone talk about George Herbert Walker Bush, or Richard Milhous Nixon.

Milhous is an unusual name (at least, I don't know anyone other than Richard Nixon who had that middle name) and is quite often used when referencing Nixon formally. Other than the character on the Simpsons I've never heard of the name being used.

You may be correct, but I really don't recall prior to FDR.

I kinda find it hard to believe that people called Ronald Wilson Reagan or William (Bill) Jefferson Blythe III or George Herbert Walker Bush or Richard Milhouse Nixon...

More like, I find it amusing that the kid being called "Weiner" gets others to beat up kids who have no problem with his last name.

Okay, bub. Keep playing dumb. You know perfectly well why people like ronpaulvoter purposefully type out Obama's full name. Almost no other President needs their middle name mentioned, but all of a sudden, people are mixing up their Barack Obamas. Get real.

It certainly could be to use Obama's actual middle name against him, or it could be because it's Obama's actual middle name.... Many Presidents have their middle initial or middle name used both in office and after they're out of office. What's funny is using even Obama's middle initial makes all the Obama-bots immediately go to Defcon 4, hair on end and hissing violently they start bombing everyone and everything around them.

Is this the part where you call me a racist for not agreeing with you? :lamo

Edit: Oh and the "bub" stuff... weak. Is that supposed to be antagonistic or did you forget my screen name?
