What if opinion deems we should do the same for communists and other undesirable groups?
 
I support freedom of speech. I may hate their message but I support their right to speak their minds.

Communism and Naziism are both political ideologies. They do not kill people, people kill people. I wonder what group has killed more, republicans or fascists? Since we are doing irrelevant comparisons, it seems a fair question.

As long as speech is within the rules of the board, it should not matter who says it.
 
My NO vote is based upon they also posting white supremacist - and therefore race-hatred - messages.

This forum does not have free speech - or it wouldn't have moderators. The forum allows messages within the confines of the rules - specific and in intention. Since the rules do not allow hateful racist messages - which is inherently what advocating white supremacy is - therefore anyone posting such messages is violating the rules.

Please, there are plenty on the right that don't like to hear things they disagree with.
 
As long as their language doesn't include threats or calls for violence (depending on the laws in their area) they have every right to say whatever they want to say. A forum is (typically) a private enterprise, so the owners can choose what is and isn't allowed on their site. Since we're on a forum, I think the WS crowd should have the same freedom to act like assholes as long as we allow the anti-gay crowd to act like assholes, or the militant atheist crowd to act like assholes.

Based on your posts, intolerance seems to be a policy of the far right. You seem to be jockeying for the title "Queen of Irony".
 
I think that white supremacists should be heard as I think that one aspect of the internet is that it is an open platform for debate and an extension of free speech. While I hate what they have to say, I still think that they all viewpoints should be heard.

CC has pretty much covered my feelings on it, but I have a question...

I am so tired of race being such an issue. When can we just move on and let racist be racist and fall on their faces without having to fight or redefine what a racist is?

you don't have to agree with them, or respect them though.

it's simply wise to understand them.

If the forum owner or moderators allow it, then it shouldn't be a huge deal.

I don't mind the economic construct of communism - some people claim to be communists and don't hate other people and don't speak out against cultures and races with their very politically minded views.

Racism knows no political bounds - I've seen it form ALL sides of the political spectrum.

Now: can they cross into eachother: Im sure it does - I just haven't seen it yet.
