this in no way means they are a against a democratic form of govt.

This reminds me that I posted on a website offering "Comments" about OWS. It was a friendly post thanking them for participating in their protest. And asking them to consider that they should direct their efforts at Washington, DC. It was deleted.

At least on this particular website, they did not invite discourse of any kind. Just looking for atta' boys.

Yeah, you will get the same thing if you post in free republic or similar website. Still, just like freep doesn't represent conservatives as a whole. One website doesn't fully represent ows either.

A FB friend of mine is very involved in OWS. I posted on his page that OWS needs to 100% commit to strategy of non-violent protest & passive-resistance, otherwise they will totally alienate the rest of the 99% and lose their struggle.

....he banned me from his page, due to this.

go camp on his lawn and sh*t in his hedges.... he'll take you back as a friend.

I'm so happy to see Ted Lance! That Kraken crackhead baby gave me the Willies and made me want to support abortion up until age three.

Suggestion posts being deleted and FB page bans are meant to tell you: "If your not part of the solution.......", well, you know the rest.

They have two sites which are you referring too? This one Occupy Wall Street | NYC Protest for World Revolution or this one? NYC General Assembly # Occupy Wall Street

BTW the Occupy movement is anti-Democracy. Want proof? Here you go! " We provide a forum for peaceful assembly of individuals to engage in participatory as opposed to partisan debate and democracy." Statement of Autonomy | NYC General Assembly # Occupy Wall Street

Your interpretation skills demonstrated here remind me of why there are so many different interpretations of the bible.

Actually, it is not against democracy, or even American democracy. Rather, what it is doing it pulling out an old line from the Port Huron Statement regarding the rather vague concept of Participatory Democracy, which in its essence argued that the people who are impacted by policy have a right to participate in the discussion and government....that dialogue is never-ending. It in theory allowed for wildly competing groups to somehow co-exist.

However real this concept was to even the people of the New Left, aside, that is what they are getting at. If you wanted to criticize it, I would have gone the route of it being utterly meaningless.

A better question, Do you support Wall Street in everything they do?

no, that's a stupid question. That's like saying "do you support people in everything they do".

as for the OWS crowd - sure, they should move to shut down wall street. so long as they are willing to **** over the 99%, who are the ones who would actually suffer from such a move.

yup. Again, as I said at the very beginning of all this; I couldn't be happier with Unions and the President publicly tying themselves to this movement.
