How long before media finds Gingrich scandal to report on?

Now That Newt Gingrich tops the PPP poll of republican presidential candidates and is 2nd in the latest CNN survey, how long do you think it will take before the main stream media finds a scandal involving him to report on?

I have no doubt it won't take long for the media to make him their favorite taget... I would say they start targeting him sometime this week and by next Monday, after the Sunday morning political show, he will be at the top of their list of republicans to trash.
 
The weird thing is that you think it has anything to do with political affiliation. EVERYONE has a scandal or two. And viewers and readers will tune in to hear about the scandals of whoever is popular right now. The only agenda here is profiteering.
 
How long before the media finds a Gingrich scandal? Probably about negative 17 years.
 
Haven't we found them all already? I mean damn, the man can't have THAT much baggage.

I think they'll beat the divorce paper dead horse lie from now until it's no longer moot. It's all they have.

The media didn't say much about Obama being the member of a racist church, witha racist preacher for 20 years; nor his friendship with known domestic terrorists; nor his connection with an illegal land deal.
 
It was pretty clear that it was to be a new scandal and that old ones wouldn't count.
I don't think there will be a new one and voted that way.

All pastors are racists. Jerry Falwell was one of the biggest racists/misogynists ever. Christianity promotes hate and bigotry. That's why our founders and many of our presidents like lincoln were atheists.
 
Oh lord, this thread is hilarious. The 50ish ethics charges Gingrich faced, that will all be the media's fault.

What country were you living in? Without any details, I knew what 3 of these 4 things were. These were all over the news.

These made the news and were investigated ad nauseum. And they were quite overstated like the wording you used. Where were you?

The benefit of being in the public eye for so long is that lots of the skeletons are already out of the closet. Of course, there's no reason not to try to smear a spouse or young-adult kids.

Divorcing his wife while she was still in the hospital recovering from cancer is Gingrich's own Chappaquiddick. While nobody but Gingrich and Jackie Battley will ever know the entire truth, the facts as they stand are just too damn creepy.

That's a bad analogy. Being insensitive isn't the same as manslaughter.
 
They're only the same in that they're really creepy and paint a super unflattering picture of the men, not that they're the same level of scandal.
