Thoroughly sick of all things Occupy? OWS?

I don't really understand complete what OWS is bitching about or what they think they will accomplish; except the general notion of being against the rich. I haven't heard anything positive about them. They certainly have a right to protest, but I think they failed to get sympathy from the right.....which is where they should have been looking for it. They tie the right to the rich (i.e., Wall Street), so they should have been trying to get the right on their side. I don't think they even tried, and thus failed.

That is a good job missing the point. You and they are both willing to look the other way when it's your people being idiots, and criticize when it is others. Very few of us are consistent across the board, and don't base our opinions on right and wrong based on who does it.

I haven't missed your point. If somebody said something patently ridiculous about OWS like they're all actually Russian spies seeking the downfall of the US, I would point out how silly I think that is. On the other hand, the only way you can say that I am hypocritically turning a blind eye to the TEA party where I criticize OWS is if the two movements behaved essentially the same way. They don't though, do they? The devil is in the details. I don't consider myself TEA party, but I am sympathetic to their message. Still, if the TEA party used the same tactics as OWS, I wouldn't support them either, no matter what they claimed to stand for. There's the consistency you're looking for.

Are you thoroughly sick of all things to do with Occupy Wall Street and Occupy Whatever? Pro and anti? Tired of hearing about it, tired of arguing about it, tired of the overhyped mega-partisanship?

I'm tired of hearing about it and don't want to debate it anymore. Everyone has their entrenched position and just spews venom at the other side. It's pointless.

What say you? Tired of hearing about it yet?

It's "jumped the shark"

like "jumped the shark" has jumped the shark.

Isn't some douchebags having a concert in zucotti park now?

It's amazing how rude these folks are to the residents there..... Plus with them excluding others, it's rather hypocritical.

As soon as the mid atlantic winter sets in, it will fade FAST.

Anti-OWS and the only coverage I want to see/hear of it from now on is of them getting hypothermia and dying of exposure in the Northeast, or of the police coming in and cleaning them out with tear gas, riot troops, and whatever other means are necessary to beat the living piss out of these worthless sacks of refuse.

I think dying is a bit harsh, they are useless, but death seems a bit..... uhm, heavy handed.

While I agree in general, it would just prove that these losers don't have enough common sense to get out of the cold and thus, they deserve what they got. Evolution in action.

they'll be out. It's already 1/3 the size of it's largest contingent. The media doesn't like to portray numbers as it's not as big as people think.

And the longer they stick around, thier true colors shine through.

Rev, at some point these people are going to have to realize that the only two things that will ever change anything in this country are the two things I don't believe they're willing to do..... Die for their Cause and MORE IMPORTANTLY Kill for their Cause. Just like the Tea Partiers, these morons actually seem to believe that they're making a difference, when in fact all their doing is blowing hot air, wasting public funds, and taking up good newsprint space and air time that could be better spent for used car advertising. They are not making a difference and they never will.

Still, death? not very tiggerific.

It's called reality, Rev. It's also a means to improve the average IQ of the human species and our gene pool as well, by removing these morons from it. I've repeatedly said that these punks do not have the heart to do what's necessary to change things. Just like the Tea Partiers. They're hollow movements, full of hot air and wind, nothing more. The Tea Partiers are just a little more polite and well-dressed than these scumballs. Niether movement is willing to put their bodies behind their words.

Oh gees, the OWS people are willing to get arrested. So what? They're in Liberally run cities where they know nothing is actually going to happen once they're arrested, Big deal. The dozen or so who got arrested in Worcester, MA over the weekend were out the next morning on $40 bond. I'd probably have a higher bail set for jaywalking.

quite a jolly guy, no?

If life was about fun we'd have all been born with feet to fit in clown shoes, rainbow colored hair and big red noses that honk when you squeeze them. We weren't.

You do know these kids do eventually grow up, right?

What do you think they should be arrested for?

No, most of them don't grow up. At least not the way I see it. Most of them are 25 going on 12 in terms of common sense, reason, logic, and any form of maturity. They're the same sort of wastes of flesh that spit on my father in San Francisco when he returned home from his "vacation" in Vietnam, which he'd chosen to undertake despite having two different potential legitimate "outs" because... "I wasn't willing to potentially send someone else's son to die in my place" (a direct quote from my father).

What do you think they should be arrested for?

Tresspassing. Disturbing the Peace. Gross Stupidity. Total Lack of Moral Character. Etc... My bigger beef is that they're not being locked up, they're simply being slapped on the hand and cut loose to do it again.

Seems rather statist.

I'm an Authoritarian.

Someone needs to mow my lawn, pick up my trash, flip burgers, check me out at the supermarket. etc.

1. They have permission from the park owners., 2. They should get tickets for excessive noise, not jail., 3. Can't legislate this, this is a free country jack, Your daddy didn't fight a war so others could impose thier morals on thier fellow Americans.

YOu would have to show an arrestable offense....

The Good Reverend keeps his bolt carrier well oiled for the day the statists, try to bring may day to his front door. :pimpdaddy:

That's what we have high school students for. Weren't you aware of that?

1. No, they don't have permission everywhere (including Worcester, MA). 2. I would tend to strongly disagree. 3. Both he and I would definitely disagree with you on that.

YOu would have to show an arrestable offense....

So far as I'm concerned any/all of them should be arrestable and imprisonable offense.

Perhaps, they should be.... wait for it..... IN SCHOOL /facepalm

1. The US Constitution disagrees. 2. US and local code disagrees. 3. This Veteran thinks your authoritarian nature is an antithesis to the very nature of this great land.

Thank you for your concern.

I tend to find that most children these days are not worth educating beyond about the 6th-8th grade, and the education they receive after that point is generally not worth what the public pays for it in many cases.

Which is why I am all for changing both the Constitution and the legal codes of this country.

The Greatness of this Land died about the time the last wounded Confederate soldier limped back into the treeline on Seminary Ridge on the afternoon of July 3, 1863 and has been decaying ever since.

Are you saying they don't have the right to use civil disobedience in protesting despite mother nature?

Don't you think maybe mother nature should back down, since we should hold the right to protest and assembly to its maximum?

If mother nature doesn't back down and let them protest free of a harsh winter... your never going to hear the end of it on you tube.... how dare she?

Why does mother nature have to be such a fascist bitch?

Is that from the loss of states rights/soveriegnty or the loss of being able to own slaves?

Thus far I have not heard of any of the OWS protestors being negative toward the military or our war veterans. Obviously I am no supporter of OWS, but that's based on what they're actually doing now. I see no need to try to cast blame on them for what happened many years before most of these protestors were even born.

I'm an Authoritarian.

Actually, you're a bit of a tool - no offense, I suspect you're trying to be. What you've done though, is draw attention from the actions of OWS and put the focus, rather, on your draconian statements.
