Why wouldn't everyone answer yes to the question?
But the questions was:Some people believe that killing people is wrong, and they have the audacity to actually apply that belief consistently.
:dohAre you for or against capital punishment?
Our justice system is imperfect, and we can never be 100% sure of a conviction. An innocent person can be released later, but no one can be brought back from the dead. Also, I really don't think that anyone is beyond rehabilitation. None of us are morally superior enough to pass this kind of judgement on another. Execution is the mark of barbarians.
Nay. Because I don't trust our legal system to always get the verdict right. If we wrongfully convict someone of murder and they get life in prison, we can let him out if we find out the conviction was wrong. If we've killed him, we cannot bring him back to life.
Really? You have some doubts that Jared Laughner (Tucson shooter) and Nadal Hasan (Ft. Hood shooter) are actually innocent? Catching them at the scene and, in fact, shooting Hasan isn't compelling enough evidence for you and, of course, anyone who testifies that they actually witnessed these two killers do what they did are what? LyingOur justice system is imperfect, and we can never be 100% sure of a conviction.
And you're quite comfortable making the judgment that the victims life is not worth the same as the killers life. I guess it all comes down to where your sympathies lie.An innocent person can be released later, but no one can be brought back from the dead. Also, I really don't think that anyone is beyond rehabilitation. None of us are morally superior enough to pass this kind of judgement on another.
Are you for or against capital punishment?
State your reasons.
I am Pro Life. Consistantly.
How about for the victim of the murderer?
Can you bring him back? I'm a pretty powerful slinger when I set my mind to it and I even know a thing or two about medicine, but even I can't raise the dead. Making more dead ain't upholding life.
How about for the victim of the murderer?
I'm pretty sure she wants murder to remain illegal X.
That's your opinion only. You do not speak for me.See, and I think exacting the highest possible price for killing someone else does uphold life. Failing to do that indicates belief that the life of the victim is worth less than the life of the killer.
That's your opinion only. You do not speak for me.
Unfortunately the the victim is already dead and unfortunately nothing will bring him back. Taking the life of a murderer will never be an equal trade for someone i loved.
We've been over this before. I accept you feel differently and it's about time you did the same.
I would expect nothing less of you. That's just how you roll. Reading comprehension is not your strong point. Never has been, never will.Ok, I'll accept that you believe capital murder to be merely "unfortunate".
