I haven't found a Members List here that classifies users in alphabetical order according to their general, political beliefs.

So now I make a poll to help try and classify you.

I want to know how many liberals are here. Or democrats. Or Conservative. Republicans are a bit different from conservatives. Conservatives also have the social conservatives which seem to have Christian values. Then there're the liberals who are socialistic. Then we have progressives which seem oh so similar to socialists. Then the Fascists, the Communists, and Authoritarians, and the Libertarians and Independents follow. Then we have Moderates, whatever those are. Too bad things can't be simple.

Let's make it interesting.

Throw in political affiliations tha we've never heard of. Teac the class a bit on Political Classification.

Let's take it deeper, too. Tell us why you chose your political class.

Don't worry. I only have 10 slots in the poll so I'll leave a slot for "Other".

Enjoy.

Moderate with some issues being to the left, many to the strict center, others to the right. To many on the left I would be a very moderate conservative.

Ridiculous poll, it doesn't define what "political" is. Socially? Fiscally? What are we supposed to be answering? Someone who is socially liberal and fiscally conservative can't pick one of the above, nor can someone who is the opposite.

I tend to vote Independent if I can, and tend to the libertarian side on social issues. So I went with that option, even though I think they should have been separated.

just how moderate is very moderate

Well, the reason being, I'm not a Tea Party person. Once the Tea Party fades, I'm sure my positions will be thought of extreme right-wing. Such is the way with my "conversation" with the left :) With many American conservatives, I'm a RINO on a good day.

Truth be told I dont know what I am anymore...I think im looking for a description of the way I feel and what I believe in right now...who'd a thought after all these years....

I don't like the two parties or their sub parties. They have never fit my beliefs.

I say liberal for the sake of convenience, I'm pretty centristy, but the hacks get bitchy when you call yourself a centrist, and conservative isn't a term anyone would use to describe me.

I'm closer to centre-right than I am to far-left, but closer to centre-left than centre-right.

You'd be incorrect. Simply, I want to know which "lean"/political group/whatever they are, why, and what unique political groups there are. Libertarian/Independent were grouped into one because I was told that they were pretty much the same; can't edit it now. It's not hard to see the point of this poll and saying it's to "get my jollies" is something that should be said downstairs, not here.

Why not just look under each person's avatar where it lists their lean? I know, I know, too ****ing easy.

Iirc, their "lean" doesn't explain why they chose that general belief. The leans here don't included the more unique political stances out there. Why make any thread inquiring about any political issue when you have Google? I guess it's too "*******" easy.

why are libertarian and independent grouped together?

Especially as is much in evidence by the majority of libertarians here, they are among the LEAST independent thinkers here.

If it's posted at lewrockwell.co., it's gospel!

Why look at all, considering how far off the mark so many are?

Picking a poll option is so much more revealing. Why not just let people's words as they post speak for themselves?

I actually don't. I think what a person says on any issue is more important than what they label themselves, especially since no label is 100 % accurate.

I do. You see them posting here. "/
