What irks me most are those that get all cranked up on a subject, any subject, based on half-truths, incomplete/incorrect "facts", lopsided political spin, and biased media bytes. I find it amusing that some even change their minds AFTER they learn the real deal... but those are few and far between. I think they just prefer to be angry at... something... anything...

I didn't cast a vote because it's too hard decide which topic to pick because depending on the people involved.

Most people have hot button issues that they are passionate about and then there are people like me who have multiple issues with a great deal controversial topics like most of the ones listed in the poll.

My issue with Race comes when people use racism as a diversion from an issue they don't, can't or won't deal with honestly, or they fear the truth, or a group they fear like when Liberals went after the Tea Party with the help of the Liberal press.

Abortion, Immigration and Religion for sure, but you forgot one: Middle East, specifically Israel/Palistinian issues

Abortion, gun control, immigration, homosexuality

There's a lot of racists out there who don't seem to understand that the illegal immigrants today are hardly different than immigrants who came over from Europe 100-150 years ago. Back then it was way easier to immigrate here legally. Accepting immigrants into our society is a major part of our history.

Voila. Visual proof of why Immigration is part of the top four most rancerous topics.

In my experience, the political topics that get people the most riled up are:

Gun control
Abortion
Men's reproductive rights
Immigration
Taxes
