In light of the other poll, what is the biggest problem with the US health care system in your opinion? The recent Health Care Reform bill may have or may not have addressed any number of these.

I dont even begin to think I have a clue what the problem is...but it sure seems like theres a whole lot of people making a whole lot of money off of everyone elses misery...from the doctors to the insurance companies..to the medical suppliers to the LAWYERS that sue doctors for ham sandwichs and then theres the people that over use their healthcare and run to a specialist everytime they have flatulence...something has to give..the costs just cant keep inflating like they are and still have millions without any coverage at all....I have no idea what the answers are.

You would probably choose waste and inefficiency, I just put the poll up, you were too quick ;)

Theres a problem with the american philosophy towards medical care as a whole. I can get better and less dangerous painkillers for my headaches in Russia, as well as better stomach pills.

My dad was treated for a serious infectious illness in the US, the antibiotics he was given killed the flora in his intestines and now hes lactose intolerant. He had quite a farty party when he discovered that in Europe and they asked him if he had been given antibiotics in the states and basically told him his flora had been killed by his treatment here.

****in lame.

I was diagnosed with duodenal hyperacidity, rather than take tons of acid regulation meds for god knows how long I was able to get it fixed with 3 visits to an acupuncturist.

Overmedication and a profit motive really ruin things.
