Are any of the republican front runners conservative enough?

Yes it is, and it was a very good point, lpast. Though I'm not a Tea Party supporter by any stretch of the imagination. THEY aren't far enough RIGHT for my personal tastes.

The Tea Party not enough right-wing? Are you sure?

He did grant amnesty to illegals. Its because of that amnesty why 3 million illegals turned into 12-20 million illegals. This is why anyone with a brain is against any so-called immigration reform compromise.

Today Reagan would undoubtedly be accused of granting “amnesty to illegals.”

Michele Bachmann and Palin (though it's extremely doubtful that she will run) are too conservative for anybody except the Tea Party.
Rick Perry is more moderate than Bachmann and Palin, though a still some bit far off for some moderates, though he's acceptable for most of the conservatives and some moderates.
Ron Paul and Herman Cain are somewhat nutcases.
Newt Gingrich is out of line, too old, and has a past history to deal with
Personally, I'd prefer Romney and Huntsman (Huntsman more than Romney), but they're too moderate for some conservatives and the whole of the Tea Party.

What positions do they have that are not conservative to your mind, that are key to being conservative?
Being conservative is being fiscally responsible, while not bandwagoning every fad that swings by. Perry is not a conservative, I know because he's my governor. He increased our debt, he's a dishonest crook, he jumps on every fad he can to make himself favorable to his voter base, and did I mention that he's a dishonest crook? I was in the exodus from Hurricane Rita's 'kill zone' when Katrina's sister came in for seconds. Perry's dumb ass had all the routes blocked so everyone had to take I-10 through Houston. We wanted to go to Dallas where family was at, but no. The routes were blocked off by concrete jersey barriers and Texas State Troopers. It took two days for us to get to Tomball, which is normally a 45 minute drive from where we started. People died because of that screw up, and the son of a bitch had the balls to go on tv, and say it was the peoples fault for not following his half-cocked master plan. **** Perry. You couldn't pay me enough to vote for that asshole.

Bachmann is just part of the "pick me" crowd. She has no redeeming credentials that would ever make me think she was ever qualified for the office of the presidency. Her entire career is nothing but uneventful bandwagoning of every party fad. Her stint with the Tea Party is no different. I cannot, in good conscience, vote for any of the self-proclaimed conservatives running for office, especially anyone from the "tea party". They're a hybrid of extremist Libertarian objectivists, and the second-term Bush administration era "neocon" clique. I don't even know if true Conservatism exists anymore. A true Conservative is cautious, doesn't rush to spend spend spend, or pencil whip legislation at a whim. True Conservatism is meant to make sure legislation doesn't just become another thing that's subject to the whims of what's fashionable at the time.

Liberals used to be just as healthy, and integral for the decision making process, and the only real difference was that they were more open to quickly changing social issues, and would throw a little cash around to grease the gears to get things going. It was a sweet system, because the two parties could actually work together, and keep each other in check. Now the Congress, Senate, and Presidential administration is nothing more than a pathetic soap opera that should have be taken off the air long ago.

Not to mention he raised taxes, increased the size of government and often led compromises with Democrats. Just silliness.

I have only two things to say on that topic....

Michelle Bachman
Sarah Palin

Beyond that there is no need to discuss the fact that the Tea Party is nowhere near Right-Wing enough for my tastes.
