I would like to see a country where there wasnt a sleazy lawyer under every rock milking the wealth of this country with frivolous class action lawsuits against everything and everyone FOR PERSONAL GAIN AND GREED...lawyers put this country in the hole its in

Actually I think the reason we are going into a recession is more related to immoral businessmen out to make a buck no matter how badly it effected the economy .. still want to remove government regulations?

So tell me how does the government directly benefit the rich vs the Poor

and I am merely telling you how things used to work without endorsing any such activity.

I am a trial attorney. I have watched whistleblowers make millions ratting out their employers. Postal workers win 6-7 figure Title VII suits against their employer. Poor rural folks win big malpractice cases against wealthy doctors. all because of GOVERNMENT. In most of the nation and the world's history that sort of stuff couldn't happen

some would say too much government screwing around caused as much of the problem as anything else

Indeed ... corporations would not have nearly as much control (they currently have much more power than the government does) if it weren't for lawyers coercing certain policies that work to protect those involved in the corporation without holding them accountable for their actions

Immoral businessmen and LAWYERS which most politicians are...lawyers that sue for millions over a ham sandwich for PERSONAL GAIN and PURE GREED...Driving the cost of healthcare through the roof...its singularly the sleaziest cult on the planet...legal cult

I agree with you 100% there are 10X as many lawyers as there should be. Many are a drag on the system-many end up being politicians where they often are a cancer. Law Schools should be as difficult to get into as medical school. Half the cases I defend are caused by too many lawyers chasing too few valid (money making) cases.

Behind every greedy businessman that doesnt give a crap if the streets are strewn with dead peasants theres three sleazy lawyers up his arse telling him how to get away with selling the bodies for parts

most of the red tape corporations deal with was created by lawyers. too many lawyers in politics-not enough business people. Look at the current clown in the Oval Office--a leftwing lawyer who knows about as much about business as he does about how to convert a 7-10 split spare

I think it is lawyer's that cause the problem as much as is the system that allows lawyers to make such immoral decisions. Lawyers are just trying to make interpretations of our rules, regulations and historical court cases. While some lawyers can get very creative and be a part of immorality, the system also allows this to happen ... so essentially, these atrocities that happen are partly the systems fault and partly immoral lawyers fault ... the system should be fixed and law students should have to show better moral conviction
 
Those with most influence in government are those with money to contribute. It is no secret that the way laws are formed is by the group with the most influence to codify there personal beliefs and interests into law. I think this is a good poll and question, but I do doubt there are many wealthy people participating in it so the results are not as important as the discussions it brings up.

Nope stop whining no ones trolling you...its a FACT lawyers are leechs that latch on to anything that gets near them they can make a buck off of...they are more responsible for the mess this country is in than anyone else..behind every sleazeball is a lawyer telling him to navigate the slime .
Most in congress are lawyers...come to fla watch television any minute of the day...there are non stop ads coaxing people to call lawfirms for class action suits against ANY AND ALL COMPANIES for anything they can find...where the people get a 100 bucks each and the lawyer gets hundreds of thousands...WHO PAYS FOR THOSE LAW SUITS turtle...who...when they sue drug companies who pays for the millions...who ?? the lawyers, the rich?? or us regular people that buy all the pills.? thats right the mass's of working class pay for the those never ending lawsuits

Everyone of your posts are about YOU and how your being robbed...by seniors on social security and medicare...by the poor on medicaid...and on and on and on....if govt enriched you with contracts or in any way...you wouldnt be whining about that big govt...

If you call those who stand up for equality "whinuses" then would not those who get on these forums and "wine" about how they don't have enough money to buy a 10th $300,000 car, or the government does not support financial tyranny enough, or that most rich people actually acquired their wealth via a system of equality, or that they are upset that some are arguing for the wealthy to actually pay their fair share of taxes, etc. also "whinuses"? Those type of arguments seem as whinny as any and even more as they are selfish in nature .. just some thoughts

There is so much hypocrisy from the rich its obscene...Everytime they want to try and curtail frivolous lawsuits via tort reform all the rich lawyers break out the wallet and start giving to the politicians to save their gold mine....Turtle says he hates politicians that give away money to people get elected..of course he meant the peasants...I wonder if turtle hates all the LOBBIESTS HIRED BY THE RICH to suck in all the politicians to keep their gold mines open and their gravy train tooting along....like I said the hypocrisy of the teaparty sickens me...thats why I am no longer a republican
