Atheist: a person who denies or disbelieves the existence of a supreme being or beings.

Christian: A Christian is a person who adheres to Christianity, an Abrahamic, monotheistic religion based on the life and teachings of Jesus of Nazareth as recorded in the Canonical gospels and the letters of the New Testament. Central to the Christian faith is the belief that Jesus is the Messiah prophesied in the Hebrew Bible, the Son of God, and the savior of mankind from their sins.

A Christian Atheist is . . . . . ?

ABB's case might be a matter of philosophy and subjectivity if it was within the realm of definitional variance attached to the concept of what it means to be Christian. When it is so far divorced from the accepted variance of definition then it is no longer a matter of subjectivity, it now enters the realm of logic. One cannot logically reconcile the simultaneous belief in the existence of a supreme being with the rejection of the belief that there is a supreme being.

it appears that some folks here believe that the only religious group that can be labeled terrorists or extremists, are Muslims.

And some folks are trying to paint him as the Christian equivalent of Jihadists, in order to make a point. This too ignores the nature of the situation.

The "he's not a Christian" argument is a new version of on the fallacy that is "No True Scotsman". It doesn't matter if Anders Breivik the Christian terrorist carried a depiction of Jesus himself in his pocket. There will be Christians who will claim he's not a "true Christian" because as we all know, a real Christian would never hurt a fly.

Paul Ray, who is named in the manifesto as his EDL "mentor" is to assist Norwegian police with their enquiries tomorrow. He denies meeting Breivik, of course.

"We met Paul Ray, “Lionheart of England”, a few months ago when we were making the VBS.TV film Royal Wedding. Ray is a religious skinhead who formed the EDL, but who now lives in exile in Malta where he leads an anti-Muslim group called The Ancient Order of the Templar Knights. If you’ve been following the news recently, the name of Ray’s organisation should ring a few bells.
When the Norwegian terrorist Anders Breivik’s 1,500-page ‘manifesto’ went public yesterday, it was full of the same Holy War rhetoric favoured by Ray. Amongst its hubris was the claim that “God will revive the ancient order of the Knights Templar”. Eerily similar, especially when you think about the claims Breivik has made about his close relationship with the EDL. Could Paul Ray have a connection with Anders Breivik?..."
